“Cleaning needs a lot of improvement and we went without power called maintenance said would be out and never showed we eventually figured it out Hot tub was to sandy to use The owner should hold her Management services accountable”airbnb

“We have stayed at many waterfront vacation homes. While the home itself was acceptable, the overall property did not appeal to us. Limited water view due to trees, run-down neighboring homes, the beach was uninviting and unmaintained, no beach seating offered and carrying down chairs would have been challenging on the steep stairwell. Haven't used a lockbox on a rental for over a decade and it was cumbersome.”airbnb

“Honestly, we had a horrible experience. It rained most of our stay & the furniture was so uncomfortable and not meant to have to really be used. More like staging. It was cheap & not all the way put together. Both end tables in the living room needed to have the tabletops spun all the way on. The bookshelf wasn’t bolted to the wall and the walkway between the shelf and chair made it easy to bump into. When we arrived, the back door was unlocked & the second bedroom window was open. A panel was off the wall exposing wires, nothing covering an air duct, & the water valves to a W/D didn’t have a cover. The doors to each of the bedrooms didn’t shut all the way The shower is a walk-in, not a tub which I wish would’ve been advertised so I could have brought something for our toddler to take a bath in. The hot tub had a ring of dirt around it and hadn’t been cleaned. A couple of plates had food still stuck to them. The mats in front of the sinks were also dingy. Disappointed & not worth the”airbnb

“This place is beautiful! The house had lots of room and was very homey! Love love love the indoor pool for cloudy days and the private beach was peaceful and stunning. We did notice that the pictures do not clearly show the current rooms and house and definitely need to be updated. We also had an issue with a vent that leaked during our entire stay and was “fixed” by maintenance (was not fixed and was dripping water continuously). Overall the house is stunning and is a great choice for a relaxing vacation!”airbnb

“Front loading washer had black mildew on the glass door & area to put the soap was all black. Towels were still damp but had been put in closet. Had to put them back in the dryer. En suite bathroom shower had water spray on the wall & paint was bubbling. Pots & pans were scratched up so teflon coating was flaking. Not safe to cook with. Cookie sheets were covered in years of caked on food. Absolutely disgusting. Outdoor patio doors were covered in bugs & spider webs. We didn't even go out there. Front porch was covered in bugs & spider webs. No furniture out there at all. No beach access in the immediate area. Very disappointing. Pillows were so flat that we drove to Walmart to buy new ones. Living room furniture had visible stains on the upholstery.”airbnb

“This was the most horrible experience. My best friend and I booked this for a girls weekend. We IMMEDIATELY were greeted by the smell of cigarettes, mold, mildew and musty. Humidifiers were running to “try” and cover up the smell. This was NOT a cottage smell. I go up north all the time. The place is dirty, needs renovations, wallpaper covering mildew, STAINS all over the carpet. Our noses and eyes were watering immediately. We literally couldn’t stay inside the house except to sleep. That was ONLY because there’s was not any other place to stay in downtown Lexington. We heard lots of feedback from people saying “ workers sleep there and smoke”. “The place smells from the outside like mold. There’s never guests there. “ I am contacting the city/health department as NOBODY should stay at this house and it needs to be reported. We have tons of pictures to show the dirty, UNSAFE disgusting place. It even looks like a fire hazard with electric chords everywhere!”airbnb

“This Airbnb was not the experience we paid for. We booked it specifically because it was advertised as being within walking distance of the harbor. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we discovered that the beach behind the home and the walkway providing access to the harbor were both closed due to construction. Had we known this before booking, we would have chosen a different Airbnb. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was unreliable throughout our stay. We were unable to consistently stream the World Cup, watch movies, or use Netflix games because the connection repeatedly dropped. When we contacted the host, we were repeatedly advised to restart the router. While that occasionally helped temporarily, we didn’t expect to spend our weekend, and more than $2,000, troubleshooting the internet ourselves. Overall, the closure of the walkway and the unreliable Wi-Fi significantly impacted our stay. We wish these issues had been disclosed before booking so we could have made an informed decision.”airbnb

“This is a total scam. Her reviews are fake. If you weed through you will see one with a similar story to ours. The pictures are not of the place she stuck us. It was awful. We were stuck not having time to rebook someplace during peak season. The place stunk, visible burnt food -no third “sleeping area” as advertised. Once I contacted AirBB she changed all the pictures on the reservation. There is no hot tub (we wouldnt have used it tho) and there are certainly no great views unless you enjoy looking at garbage dumpsters. Just ridiculous”airbnb

“This place tricked us into believing they were part of Airbnb. From the moment we arrived to an unclean place, they began to spiral out of control with excuses. It was very late and we had traveled far. This place is not part of Airbnb. Be warned!”airbnb

“We booked the place for the pool and fenced in yard. They told me the pool would be completed by April but it’s still not done. We showed up and also noticed there is no longer a fenced yard. So two big bummers to start. When we walked in there was a bad chemical smell throughout the whole house. They told us they were aware and provided one air purifier and to open the windows. Problem is that it was 50 degrees and rainy. Owners came and opened up the pool room doors (the smell was due to concrete being sealed) and told us they were aware and had been trying to air it out for days. When we woke up in the morning the smell was just as bad and we slept in the two furthest bedrooms from the pool area. We all had head aches and I didn’t want my small children breathing in the fumes anymore so we left after one night and found a new Airbnb to stay at. They really should have given a heads up since they were aware.”airbnb
