“Really great stay for our 9-person party. Beautiful views from the master bedroom, dining area and loft above. We really enjoyed having firewood so nearby, the expansive (and completely enclosed) deck, fully equipped kitchen, really thoughtful touches like dog towels, beach / hot tub towels, and plenty of hot water (we never ran out). The hot tub was squeaky clean and very appreciated.”

“Great property! Very comfortable and convenient location. Had everything. Amazing ocean views (you can actually hear the surf!) and the garden was so pretty. You can hear traffic from Hwy 1 but it's not constant and you get used to it quickly. I'd definitely stay again. Wonderful home.”

“My partner and I went to Mendocino for a peaceful, romantic weekend getaway - and Ocean Splendor absolutely delivered on that experience. It was one of the most unique rentals we’ve ever stayed at, with an interior that is highly nostalgic and retro while still keeping with modern amenities and expectations. It felt clean and comfortable. And that seaside view, it was like unlike anything we had ever seen, simply mind-blowing! As nature lovers, we found there was plenty to do around Mendocino and Fort Bragg, and the kitchen was so well stocked and the place was so cozy that we ate in for almost all our meals and barely wanted to leave the house! I would highly recommend this place to any couple looking for privacy and relaxation. Will definitely be returning if we ever find ourselves in this area again!”

“They require guest to sign a rental agreement. They repeatedly sent the agreement by text which I couldn't read on sign on my phone. I suspect they have their process automated so that you don't deal with a human at each contact. When I emailed a question, the only response was, we sent you e-guide. Its like a distant, sterile, disconnected machine. They don't supply shampoo. The interior is very nice. Everything's functional. Nothing broken. The hot tub water isn't hot enough. The views are tremendously spectacular!”

“The positives: • Stunning views — I couldn’t get enough of the ocean scenery.
 • Very safe, with a secure, private entrance.
 • Beautiful wildlife, including deer, and pristine ocean views. The negatives: • Extremely poor internet. It was so slow it felt like dial-up - I couldn’t get any work done or make calls, which was very disappointing.
 • The exterior windows were extremely dirty; cleaning them would have made a big difference to the experience.
 • The kitchen was just barely adequate, with very minimal utensils. For the price, I expected it to be better equipped.”

“The place is chill, lovely surroundings, right near the water. The business-like interaction that takes you out of the Airbnb platform was a turn off; also picking up the key in town when the sliding doors don’t lock was annoying. They also didn’t include any shampoo. But ultimately the place was pretty nice and the spa was an easy easy to relax into at the end of the day.”

“Great design, a little dated and old school pick up of keys and outdated guidebooks in the place was frustrating (we had to go into town to get signal, to read the digital guidebook on how to get internet as the one in the house was old). That being said we would stay there again, it’s a great place. Wish the windows opened more as it was a little musty but I understand it’s the mid century design. Having to wash dishes without a drying rack was frustrating/having to put them away and take trash out at departure makes me question a cleaning fee.”
