“Highly recommend! We ended up cancelling dinner plans so we could eat takeout from the patio and look out to the view. The rental shop by the beach was amazing - you can get a clean beach towel whenever you want and it’s included. They have snorkel gear and lots of other stuff to rent too (not included but cheap). When we arrived, there was a band playing the most beautiful music on the lawn that we listened to from the patio. The bed was so comfy, we slept great. And they have a Vitamix blender to make smoothies in that we enjoyed! One issue is there’s only one coffee shop and we had to wait in line for over 30 mins the first morning so we got breakfast stuff and coffee supplies for the other mornings. The mall gets really busy too and we thought the food there was just okay so we went to places up in Napili instead and brought it back to our place to eat.”

“We had a truly wonderful stay. The home was spotless and thoughtfully maintained. The king bed was comfortable, making it easy to relax after each day of exploring. One of our favorite features was the expansive balcony and the beautiful oversized doors that opened wide to let the outdoors in. The mountain views were simply breathtaking—stunning at every hour of the day and in every kind of weather. On several mornings, rainbows stretched across the lush green mountains, creating scenes that felt almost magical. The partial ocean view was an added bonus and made the setting even more special. Traveling with young children, we greatly appreciated having a well-equipped kitchen. The resort itself is beautiful, peaceful, and felt very safe. Each morning we enjoyed seeing families and guests out for walks and runs, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. The host was friendly, responsive, and a pleasure to communicate with. Mahalo for your hospitality—we made wonderful memories!!”

“Great place. More than enough room for a 6 people and the sliding door out to the patio was great. AC was broken but that was mentioned beforehand and accounted for with price markdown as well as portable ac units. All around great experience.”

“The best spot we’ve ever stayed at. Big resort amenities without the big resort price tags. Pools were awesome, beach was easy/close and great swimming, towel service was easy, restaurant was good and drinks were tasty (especially pina coladas served poolside 😉). Host was very responsive. Parking was easy. Checkin and out was simple. Will stay at this resort again and again and hopefully this exact easy, ground floor unit.”

“I always have two worries when renting an Airbnb. My first worry is it won’t look like the photos and my second worry is that if there’s a problem I will get no response from the host. This listing is copy and paste identical to the photos. So beautiful and exactly what you feel like you booked. When I had a couple minor issues during my stay not only did I get a response within the hour the on site personnel showed up and fixed the issue immediately. I would highly recommend this Airbnb and I plan to stay here again and again in the future. This place was magical.”

“COCKROACH INFESTATION at Outrigger Honua Kai Resort managed by Maui Resort Rentals in units 444 & 924. Cockroaches were crawling across counters, kitchen, bathroom, behind the stove and in the sofa bed day and night. Documented with photos/videos and reported immediately. Managers acknowledged the presence, put sticky traps and sprayed. Initially said to wait 24 hours to see the infestation level, but after more videos, moved us to 924, which was also infested. Despite clear evidence of a serious sanitation and health hazard, Zach cited: "6. Guest understands and accepts that insects, rodents and lizards flourish in tropical environments and may be encountered in their stay. No refund or rebate will be offered in connection with any such encounters." That applies to a gecko or stray bug, not a full-blown infestation making a unit uninhabitable. Renters should be extremely cautious; owners should know this is ignored!”
