Maui Rental Group
4.41Visit website
Maui Rental Group's guest rating of 4.41 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“We had a good time, the property is well equipped across from a kids friendly beach.”airbnb

“The main selling point of this rental was the view from the patio. Approx 10 days prior there was an accident which resulting in closure of patios in complex. We were not notified of closure until our arrival , not giving us an opportunity to find another place to suit our desires for vacation. Co indicated they will look into some compensation, but they are giving us the runaround. WiFi was in accurate info as well as pool access code wrong”airbnb

“Pros: This place was in a convenient location and walking to the local beaches was great. Amenities are good in that there are a lot of BBQ grills and a lot of travelers stay here from out of town. I was able to meet several at the pool and got really good recommendations. I appreciated that they had beach equipment and towels for us to use. Cons: The host was not helpful at all when I reported dead pests that looked to be termites. They were in every area of the kitchen and living room area. We were traveling with a 3 month old baby so I stressed the urgency of the situation. The management group was quick to respond and told me I would be contacted by a property manager but no one ever showed up during the whole duration of our stay to clean the pests. The doors slide and don't filter out any noise because of the gaps when you are in another room. You can also hear the tenants walking/running above you. The water is very hard and the shower heads have crusty white stains on them.”airbnb

“Codes for pool were not clearly listed. code for gate to get to beach was not found at all but can be accessed from the stairs. There was an alarm from somewhere outside going off two nights in a row. The biggest issue was the lack of a privacy cover over the bedroom window. Not only did the outside light make the room too bright but offered no privacy from anyone outside in the parking lot or on nearby balconies. They obviously knew about it because when I brought it up, I was told the parts are on order. Yet it wasn't mentioned or anything temporary done.”airbnb

“Was told there would be work crews painting the balcony for “2” hours during one day of our stay, 2 days before we got there. They were working on it for 2 whole days, waking us up with heavy machinery at 8am. Made us bring outside furniture in and out of our unit multiple times so wok crew could paint. And had the local resident Karen who lived there chasing us around harassing us over anything she could find an issue with: would not reccomend staying here to anyone.”airbnb

“This was a mixed experience. The location was fine. Across from the beach. Nice view. Some restaurants nearby. The location and description was accurate. My bigger issue was either with the landlord or the property management group. They required a different contract in which they said they can change the rates on you if they "made a mistake." So keep and eye on that. They sent several texts, emails, and phone calls to get our email to "send check in instructions on their portal." But we got the same/similar instructions through AirBnB. Not sure why they needed the email. They also said there was enough soap, toilet paper, and trash bags for 24 hours and to get your own. That wasn't accurate. Not sure why they said that. Their online instructions were wrong for the WiFi. eventually found them in the house. Overall, that was the oddest experience with a property management group I've had on AirBnB.”airbnb

“Except for the kitchen, the unit is very dated but comfortable and spacious. We got a kick out of the "spa-like bathroom" description. The unit is well stocked for everything you may need during our time in Maui. Overall, we did enjoy our time. The issue is exclusively with the Airbnb host. We asked about shipping to the property and were told we cannot do so. A day or two before arrival you will get an email which tells you the exact steps to ship to the property. Due to this misinformation we spend $10 and an hour of our time to use a 3rd party package service. So, if you ask the host questions please do not expect them to be aware of their actual policies. Additionally, hot tubs are listed as an amenity. We asked the property managers about this, and they noted there have never been hot tubs and that some hosts continue to advertise this. We brought this up to the host immediately on Feb 20th and as of March 7th they are still listing hot tubs as an amenity - unethical at best.”airbnb
