“As a newer Airbnb host, this was a perfect example of how not to host a vocation rental. I I’ll start with the kitchen. The kitchen is not stocked for somebody to cook. The kitchen knives are falling apart, dull and rusty. One knife has about a half inch broken off the tip. They did leave larger trash bags to use for the trashcan, but the trashcan was a small tiny trashcan under the sink. The dishes have cracks in them and three of the dishes have large chipped edges. If you’re planning on cooking, it’s very frustrating to use the kitchen. The next frustrating item is the washer. This has to be the world’s smallest and oldest washer ever built. You literally can only put one towel and whatever clothes you wore for the day in this washer. Yet the hall closet for the washer to fit in can definitely take a larger size washer. The best thing about this place was the shower. It’s been updated and easy to walk in. This place was ok but frustrating if you want to cook or use the kitchen.”

“Please avoid this place unless you want to have terrible place with MOLD smell in the entire unit, lot of stains on all over the Furniture, bed linens and cheap slippery floor tiles. Not suggested unless you want to play hide n seek rather having some best experience of MAUI. Host is not responsive if we point out any issues in the unit and can't imagine how Airbnb allow such places to be hosted. For sure this is not a place to stay for anyone.”

“We were excited about this Airbnb stay because of the sunset picture and location, but after arriving we experienced several difficulties. First, the main area and master bedroom living room AC would not cool below 78 degrees. I communicated with the Host within the first hour of us arriving, and every day thereafter, but it still took them 3 days to send out a technician and he couldn’t get the temperature to cool below 78. Also, the toilets barely flush and often just swirl without going down and finally the elevator near this condo is out of order so this room becomes the longest walk in the entire building, 200+ steps from the nearest elevator. We could deal with the walking and bad toilets, but trying to relax and be comfortable in 78-80 degree temperature is just very difficult. To make matters worse, Maui Life Vacations, the Host Management Company, kept blaming us for things completely out of our control. Ultimately, while I hate to say, it was a truly terrible Airbnb stay.”

“We had a few hiccups with some water issues, they were resolved. The place was gorgeous, surrounding area magnificent rooms clean & spacious. We had 7 adults & 3 grandkids. 2 condos next to each other. It was almost perfect, but quite near perfect. I would book here again.”

“the master bedroom A/C unit was not working when we arrived. They knew about it because they asked for an ETA to turn them on. We get apologies from the manager( Regeena) during the 1st 3 days. After that she just stop communicating with us. i have to say the maintenance guy try everything he could to fix it without success so an A/C specialist was supposed to show up on the 4th day but that never happened. Im sure if the rental management team read this review they will apologize some more at least that is what they did at the beginning. But to be honest that was the only issue with this property. There are some really good things worth to highlight: -a complete beach kit available to use. - well equipped kitchen - extremely quiet and peaceful place -condominium private swimming pool - a short trail a long the cliff where you can see green sea turtles every day.”

“We stayed in Koa Lagoon #406 from April 18–25, 2026. Upon arrival, we discovered a leak in the bathroom ceiling and reported it on April 19 by phone and text, including photos of the leak. Maui Life Realty said they would expedite a fix, but nothing was done. We followed up on April 22 with no response. On April 23, we asked for a manager’s contact and were told to keep texting, with no escalation and no manager's contact information. On April 24, we requested a refund—again, no response. The leak continued the entire stay, dripping water of unknown origin (likely from the bathroom of the unit above) while we used the toilet. It was unsanitary and extremely unpleasant, but the only bathroom available. It appears the issue existed before our arrival. Maui Life failed to fix it, move us, or offer compensation. We have photos and texts documenting the leak and communications. I would not recommend this unit or management company.”
