“Before coming here, I stayed at another place, so the comparison was inevitable. The backyard was in poor condition, and the damaged, uneven steps leading to the entrance were a safety hazard, especially for the two seniors in our group. They nearly fell several times. The bathroom shower tiles were also very slippery, and one person did fall. The property needs quite a bit of maintenance, and the garage was cluttered and appeared to be used for storage. That said, the rooms were comfortable and the interior was nice. The internet was somewhat slow, but still usable. The windows are large which provides beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. However, it was a little unsettling at night when trying to sleep. The location is also convenient, just about 2 miles from the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. The night sky was incredible—the stars seemed to stretch endlessly across the sky.”

“As Airbnb Superhosts, we don’t take leaving less-than-5-star reviews lightly-but we value accuracy and transparency for future guests. Positives: Location is excellent - very close to park entrance and just a few minutes’ drive to town. The hosts were responsive. However, there were important discrepancies. The home is advertised as having three queen beds; in reality, there are only two. One listing photo shows the same bedroom staged differently, which was misleading, and the third “queen” is actually a twin discovered upon arrival. Additionally, when we checked in, there were a significant number of dead (and some live) bugs throughout the house. We addressed this privately with the host the following morning and shared documentation. We understand our desert environment has challenges & we always aim to be reasonable & communicative. That said, accurate sleeping arrangements & a clean, guest-ready home are essential. We hope this feedback helps improve future guest experiences.”
