My husband and I had a wonderful time at the condo. The location was great and we enjoyed the mineral and gem museum and a lovely breakfast in Bethel. We also had fun at the 2 breweries nearby. It was an easy drive to Old Speck for a hike. The condo itself was cute and comfortable. We loved the fireplace and the kitchen had everything we needed for preparing and cooking meals. We spent the evenings playing cards at the dining table and slept well in the bed. the bunk beds were adorable if you have kids! Overall, we had a great time and would recommend!

The place was nice and well located within the town. It was described as being for up to four people however, and didn’t have enough sheets for three people.

Pine Haven Hideaway was a great stay overall! The house itself was lovely and the pool was amazing — we spent so much time in it. The one downside was that bugs kept getting into the house, which was a bit of a nuisance. That said, it’s Maine in the summer, so it comes with the territory! Would still recommend for the pool and the property itself.

My husband and I booked for a long weekend with our dogs and we were not disappointed. The house was nice and open, lots of natural light, the fenced in yard was a huge bonus, our dogs could just roam in and out of the house freely. The deck overlooking the mountain was our favorite spot to sit and enjoy the sun & sunrises. The neighbor was so polite and friendly, we enjoyed our conversations with her while we were out playing with the dogs. All the local restaurants are within minutes from the house and every one we tried was fantastic! The local walking path was beautiful and well kept, we visited daily and enjoyed it every time.

Overall, we had a very nice stay at this property. Warning : It is listed as an absolutely pet free property which was not the case. We have two people in our group with pet allergies who both had hives and/or itchy watery eyes. We suspected pets had been on the premise and we discovered dog toys in the yard which confirmed our suspicions. The house was clean ish, there were candy wrappers under the bed and juice box wrappers on the living room carpet which were noticeable immediately, a vacuum would’ve easily scooped them up. However, the kitchens and bathrooms did appear to be thoroughly cleaned. FYI - We booked a house with washer/dryer so it would be easy to clean ski clothing and use of the laundry was discouraged due to concerns regarding water usage.

Linens are old and scratchy, upstairs shower never got above luke warm, downstairs shower did not keep consistent temp; went between luke warm and warm. Plumber came out and told us the water heater is 30 years old and needs to be replaced. He also said he'd been working on that house for 20 years and let the owner know of this issue. Kitchen had no ability for us to clean after cooking; no sponges, no cleaner.

I can appreciate the convenience of a ski in/ski out location but this place is in no way worth the $900 plus tab for two nights. We were told there was an elevator which there is not and with that had to carry up 3 stories the gear and food for 6 people. The condo itself smelled of old fried fish the entire weekend from start to finish. I’m assuming no one has made fish in there making that thought even worse. The dishes were poorly cleaned and had residue from the people before us still on them. So we had to clean and wash every dish before we used it. The heated pool was great until one of the employees sketched everyone out by presumably filming little kids and half dressed women from the glass entry doors. Lastly we had one of the entitled residents knocking on our door an hour before quiet hours to inform us of the quiet hours. We were aware of the rules in place. This place stinks, go save your money and find a different spot.

Overall, it was an okay stay. The direct access to Sunday River and the cleanliness were definite positives. However, the bed was extremely hard, and we didn’t get much sleep. After long ski days, this was disappointing. Don’t expect a good shower after a long day on the slopes—the hot water pressure was practically nonexistent. The water heater is located in the main bedroom closet, and there was a noticeable odor every time the shower was running. We stayed midweek for two nights, and the parking lot was only about half full. We had a small trailer with our snowmobile, and after the first night we were asked to move it to the lot at the bottom of the hill—a pretty far walk away. I understand having rules about trailers during busy weekends or peak weeks, but being asked to move it when the lot was mostly empty was disappointing and felt unnecessary.
