Magic One Vacation Homes
4.63Visit website
Magic One Vacation Homes's guest rating of 4.63 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“POOR housekeeping & cockroaches, not usually owner's fault and they're sometimes unaware. I spent the first hour and a half after check-in cleaning things that I should not have. I reached out to Magic One Vacation Home's and sent pictures because again owner's don't usually know. They offered to send the same crappy housekeeping that didn't clean in the 1st place. Not to mention, I had already cleaned the things that could be handled immediately. One big problem was that the couch was covered in dirt stains so we placed a blanket from one of the beds (that we also had to wash prior to using) over the couch. During our stay I did more work than housekeeping, I'm all for paying for my my stay, but the management company didn't even reimburse me for cleaning fees. Outside of the house being dirty, there were things communicated day of check-in that would have been nice to know beforehand: Waterpark is over 1 mile away, bring wash cloths & toilet paper, bring ice (ice maker does not work)”airbnb

“Overall, we had a great stay. The location was excellent, communication with the host was prompt and helpful, and the place was comfortable and as described. The only areas that could be improved are the basic supplies. For a five-day stay, only one trash bag and a minimal number of towels were provided. When we asked for additional supplies, we were told to purchase them ourselves. We also found the thermostat restriction a bit limiting, as it could not be set below 72°F. Other than those minor issues, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property. With a few additional household supplies and a little more flexibility on the thermostat, it would be an even better experience.”airbnb

“Yuck! Cockroaches. They were kind enough to great us when we arrived. They were found in the bowls and pans. At night they were on the curtains and in the bathrooms. They have non stick pans with a metal spatula. So they are setting people up for failure. Multiple pieces of furniture were chipped or broken. WiFi constantly dropped to the point where movies were constantly being dropped or buffered. It is set up for 25 people but there is only a handful of towels. We had to buy more and zero wash clothes. For as expensive as this place is, I feel like there aren’t enough good things to recommend this place to anyone. I have been to many Airbnb homes and I have given them all 5 stars. Avoid this place.”airbnb

“The stay was okay. Day one we found old blood stains across one of the king rooms on the sheets which we reported to the owners. There was a cockroach in one of the bathrooms. I also didn’t understand how it advertised a private hot tub and then have to find out that you have to pay for it to be heated. The house says it hold 11 people but only came with the basics of 4 rolls of toilet paper and on the last day had to DoorDash some in order to use the bathroom. So just keep that in mind.”airbnb

“I cannot give this home any kind of good rating or this company. The home was "clean" and all amenities were as listed with expected wear and tear, however, the home looked clean but has a terrible roach and ant problem. German cockroaches came from drains and were found in the home later in the night and a massive palmetto bug was found in the master bedroom on the wall as well as ants coming from shower drains as well. This is Florida and the larger roaches can be expected as they may come in from outside, however, the little german cockroaches indicate an infestation and breeding within the home, especially in the number and ways we found them. Once this issue was communicated to the host, they were responsive for the first hour, and then stopped responding to the messages until the next morning at which point it was too late to solve the problem. On top of this, rather than the message being of concern it was an automated message asking to keep the AC at 72 and not below. Terrible.”airbnb

“Everything was fantastic. The house was absolutely beautiful and super easy to find! Unfortunately, we did not get to use the pool because the filter was not running and The pool was like ice so I would recommend that you pay for the heater if you plan on swimming … The only thing that kind of bothered us was there was four of us in the house and only three rolls of toilet paper for 8 days, not very many towels for showers so we had to constantly do laundry on late nights.. We just think for the price that we paid we should’ve got a little bit more toiletries for the eight days that we were there and one laundry pod. we would definitely recommend just make sure you have your own toiletries with you. They were also trying to sell the house as we were staying there so we did have the realtor coming in a few times to show the house while we were gone and I thought they would do that days it was being cleaned .we understood though & agreed to let them show it. Idk if other guest would agre”airbnb

“The home was beautiful and clean upon arrival. The only thing that was an inconvenience is the fact that the QR code would not scan whenever we would leave the property so we had to constantly reach out to the security guard or tailgate behind another vehicle in order to get into the property. Also, the kitchen amenities was very inconvenient. Example: We wanted to cook French fries and chicken wings but the honey did not have a air fryer so we had to utilize the stove which is okay but there wasn’t cooking pans that we could use so we had and to cook french fries using multiple small baking pans.”airbnb

“I did not like the fact that people not on the list cannot enter the gate. I asked someone to drop off my granddaughter and they would not let her in the gate I had to go to the gate and pick her up. The night time security guard was very rude putting his hands in the driver's face because she was driving someone else's car that did not match the tag but her name was on the airbnb”airbnb

“I stayed here for an extended period hoping for a relaxing trip, but unfortunately that wasn’t my experience. After checking in, I noticed several issues that had also been mentioned in prior reviews and did not appear to be resolved. During the stay, there were multiple maintenance concerns, including a clogged dishwasher, AC issues, the pool pump not working properly, inconsistent pool heating/maintenance, and a broken pool skimmer. There were also pest issues (ants in the home and pool), loose door handles, and the yard had tons of trash. The theater room also did not match the listing photos, and the step there felt unsafe. Overall, the frequency of maintenance issues made it difficult to fully enjoy the stay.”airbnb

“My stay at this property was unfortunately not a great experience. While the house itself was generally clean, there were several issues that impacted our stay. One of the main concerns was the pool. I had to contact the host numerous times to request that it be cleaned. Each time, I was assured that someone would come, but unfortunately, no one ever showed up. This was quite disappointing, as the pool was one of the main reasons we chose this property. Additionally, the living room area was not as expected. There was a dirty sheet (not a rug) with visible stains, which made the space feel unclean and uncomfortable. On top of that, there was only one couch available, which was not sufficient seating for our group of five. Overall, while some aspects of the home were fine, these issues made the stay less enjoyable than anticipated.”airbnb
