“We had a really positive experience. We stayed for 4 nights during a hiking trip at Baker. This was the perfect spot to unwind in evenings. Most importantly, the house was spotless when we arrived. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. We appreciated the furnishings and design. The neighborhood is excellent. Gated community, perfect for morning and evening walks. It is situated only 30-40 minutes from Mt Baker Ski and Artist Point. Highly recommend it!”

“I completely overlooked the detail about how they don’t have air conditioner, so wasn’t the most pleasant experience given the heat wave and wildfire smoke. It’s nestled in a very quiet area with little distractions. I wouldn’t recommend driving in on your first night in the dark as we had a hard time initially finding the home, but otherwise, we were happy with the stay. It is a short drive to town and about an hour from Artists Point. Perfect for a day in or out.”

“The condo was sparkling clean and updated. The kitchen was very well equipped. The bathroom area was very small and lacked shower grab bars and towel racks. We enjoyed walks along the river, swimming, table tennis and proximity to restaurants. Wi-fi was slow. The TV was good and connected to our favorites.”

“We were 6 adults and there was plenty of space for us. The house was situated in a great location to visit the Mt. Baker area. The only negative about the place was that it was near the road so if you sleep with the window open, you hear a lot of road noise. Other than that, the house was great.”

“The community and location were great, but our stay was impacted by a few issues. The smoke alarm went off multiple times over two nights, disrupting our sleep, and there was active construction directly behind the cabin, which made it difficult to enjoy the outdoor space and hot tub. The cabin also felt dustier than expected. I hope these issues are addressed for future guests.”

“First of all, the house is gorgeous inside and the kitchen is to die for. Being able to walk out the master bedroom and step straight into the hot tub was great. Please be aware, there is no air conditioning. While AC is not listed as an amenity, I wish the posting had drawn more attention to this. It was 96 degrees on the day we arrived. This house has many windows with no shades which made it very hot in the house. There are a few fans but it was 80 in the house still when we got In bed. The house has great amenities otherwise and ample space, I just would not recommend going in mid summer. We did lose power as warned about In the post but the generator immediately kicked on and powered the whole house. It is a little loud and right outside the master bedroom however.”

“We loved the surrounding river and walking path. We enjoyed the clean condo. The only thing we could’ve used were checkout instructions printed clearly in the home itself as it was very hard to communicate other than iMessage with the DSL Internet. We had very limited Wi-Fi and had no way to communicate with the property management company.”

“My biggest concern was the scorpions. We found glue traps containing dead scorpions and other pests inside the house, yet the listing never mentioned that scorpions were present or that the property requires regular pest control. Had I known this before booking, I would have chosen a different Airbnb. We arrived during an Arizona summer to a house set at 82°F, making for a very uncomfortable first impression. The home did not feel prepared or welcoming for arriving guests. The cleanliness was disappointing, especially considering the nearly $400 cleaning fee. The kitchen sink had a strong fish-like odor, there were crumbs on the kitchen floor, trash had been missed during cleaning, and there were visible stains on the upstairs carpet. When the electricity went out in the upstairs bathroom, it took too long to get assistance. I ultimately had to troubleshoot the problem myself by flipping unlabeled breakers because the electrical panel wasn't properly marked. The cleaning fee is a scam.”
