“Perfect choice for a family of four adults' short summer vacation on the North Fork in a quiet neighbourhood of private residences and direct access to Long Creek where we even observed a bald eagle. Wineries, Greenport and delightful restaurants only short car rides away. The house is very well equipped (e.g., generous supply of towels) and the outdoor space and equipment well maintained, the absolute luxury being the hot tub. Although we were a little surprised to find that the area leading down to the creek was covered in woodchips rather than grass. Back in the bustle of New York, we will miss our newly found friends of wild turkeys wandering around the neighbourhood.”

“We had a great stay! It’s right across the street from the beach which was beautiful and so convenient. Very bright and open with ALL windows. Great AC throughout. There is a great back patio and large private yard which we enjoyed. We highly recommend staying here!”

The house was very comfortable for the three generations of our family vacation, well designed for comfort, space, and relaxation, while also in a very peaceful and picturesque location. We really enjoyed the area and felt everything was close and accessible while being in a private location. We plan to come back soon!”

“Great location great amenities nice stay”

“Poppy's house was a great home for our family of 5 people. Having 3 full bathrooms was a tremendous asset. The kitchen is so spacious and has just about everything we needed to create all our meals. We love to grill so the gas grill that's hooked up to the house eliminated any fear of running out of propane! The bedrooms were very comfortable and the 2 entertainment rooms provided everyone great relaxation space. The backyard is not completely private so the modest family members didn't take advantage of the outdoor shower but those who indulged said it was great. The location of the house is close to our areas of interest so that was a big plus. Our only hiccup was the check in time. It was later than what we hoped for but we managed.”

“House was on a nice quiet block and backs into an inlet. Calm and nice for kayaking and fishing. Host was responsive. However, I would note that I was disappointed when I showed up to the house and realized that the third bathroom and the washer and dryer were not available. The posting clearly indicated that the house had 3 bathrooms and wash/dryer amenity. When I asked the host about it, she then shared that they would not be available to us due to some renovations happening in the house. In addition, there were parts of the driveway into the backyard that were also under construction with a pallet of bricks blocking part of the back driveway, so there was dirt and it was not fully convenient to walk back and forth from the driveway to the backyard. None of this was disclosed to me at the time of booking or prior to check in. The host apologized but made no concessions to credit us for the lack of 3rd bathroom and washer/dryer.”

“House was as described and met our needs. I personaly did not care for the sound. It was not what I expected. The house has very easy access to the beach and is great for fishing. THE biggest issue we had was the address is wrong.. It is: Peconic NY After driving 9 HRS and spending another 2 hours looking for the house....Very Frustrating!!
