Lux Villa VR's guest rating of 4.80 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“The house was comfortable for our large family and we had a great week there. The lower score is due to maintenance and safety issues I hope can get fixed for future renters. Many spindles in the banister were loose, two coming off with little effort. The steps up to the front door felt unstable. For maintenance, we could have used more hand towels and a new microwave (it locks, so you have to unplug it to get your food). It also appeared as though the trash had not been collected from the previous renters, so we had to store a couple bags in the garage. Communication with the owners was easy, but I often felt they would just copy/paste their answers from the instructions emailed before (ex. I requested a floorpan to help us choose rooms ahead, they copied the written description of the rooms). Aside from these issues, the views from the house are beautiful. We saw a bear and coyote, enjoyed watching chipmunks and birds in the morning, and beautiful sunsets from the balcony.”airbnb

“The place was very lovely in a gorgeous setting. The house is as pictured and described. Only issue was host did not respond upon asking about an early check-in other than that would recommend.”airbnb

“Firstly the location is awesome. The house was nice and clean and I would have loved to give it five stars. Unfortunately, I can't * Parking is really painful unless you have a very small car. The garage entrance and the length itself is extremely limited, but then there are cars parked in front. * Entrance was a pain - the lock to get into the compound needed a 10 digit code and you needed both hands to operate. The unit entrance required an 8 digit code. * Front burners wouldn't work on the stove. The right one didn't work at all and the left one would take many attempts.”airbnb

“Lux Villa was exactly how it was described; extremely desirable location, beautiful trail nearby, and a very cozy home. The house is very warm, but we knew this from reading previous post, so we opted to bring our own mini fan. Fans could definitely be a bit stronger, but they were in all rooms which was nice. The only concern we had was we were woken up at 5:00 am to the sound of breaking glass. We saw a picture which was about 2x3 ft was only hung up in with a dual sided tape. Glass was everywhere with no vacuum in the house and the picture was right in front of the room our toddler was in. A few other picture in the house we noticed only had this take. We are just so thankful it didn’t fall on our toddler because the shards were huge! A few hours later the cleaners came, but we still managed to step on a bit of glass since it fell in the carpet. It was a lot, especially with kids but other than that the house was well equipped, just hot! Also, a baby would be nice upstairs.”airbnb

“I was very disappointed with our stay at this villa. Considering the price we paid, we expected a much cleaner, more comfortable, and better-maintained property. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was not up to standard. The carpet was dirty, and the couches caused itching and discomfort on our skin, so we were unable to use them. The house also had a strong musty smell throughout, including the bedrooms, which made the stay uncomfortable. The villa was extremely hot, and there was no cold air conditioning available. Because of the heat and stuffy conditions, we were not able to sleep comfortably during our stay. The upstairs bathroom had very low water pressure, making it difficult to take a proper shower. We also found several spiders on the walls and near the beds, which was concerning. The property had many rules for guests, including a rule asking visitors to wash the towels for the next guests. We respected the rules, washed the towels, and left the property clean and organized.”airbnb

“Elevator out of service. EXTREMELY HORRIBLE walk of 7 flights of unstable stairs. Did not want to enjoy my time due to not wanting to leave Condo due to stairs. Community pool not accessible. Family did not have an enjoyable time.”airbnb

“The house was very hot, both downstairs and upstairs. But the upstairs was like a sauna. The first night (Saturday) we came in we hadtwo medium size fans, and one small fan. The sun had been blaring in all day, so it was extremely hot and we couldn’t cool the house down. I emailed the host and she responded but told me that there was no AC for the mountain homes. She ask if I would like a fan or two and I said yes. However that was the first night at 8pm. But she didn’t bring a fan. I kept on asking for another fan because it was still hot the next day, she kept questioning me as to way I needed more fans. I was ridiculous. By 7:30pm on Monday next after several emails of her questioning me she finally brought 3 fans. However she didn’t knock on the door so we didn’t know they were there until morning. It was a whole ordeal and we were completely uncomfortable both nights.”airbnb

“I would not recommend this cabin, especially for families with young children. I understand that this is an investment property and that it may not be in pristine condition, but for the amount of money we paid, the overall condition was very disappointing. The carpets upstairs and downstairs were extremely dirty, and the home appeared to be in need of general maintenance. More concerning were several safety issues. There were broken railings both inside and outside the cabin, creating gaps that a small child could potentially fall through. In addition, repairs made to the stairs leading to the front door appeared inadequate, as the screws missed the supporting wood underneath and were visibly not securing the step properly. The refrigerator also had stains that could have been easily cleaned by the cleaning crew. While I can overlook normal wear and tear in a rental property, the cleanliness issues and obvious safety concerns should have been addressed before guests arrived”airbnb

“The house is ok, the main living room is small. You can only set 6 people comfortably barstools were extremely uncomfortable. Pros and cons: Pros: lots of bedrooms, comfortable beds, bathroom in each floor, kitchen is ok, balcony are nice with great views. Cons: spiderwebs every where, TV does not work properly at main Livingroom, staircase from 1st to 2nd floor is extremely tight when it curves. Three of our guests fell and hurt themselves, there are no blankets but lots of pellow, there isn't any carpet at either of the two living rooms which makes the house cold and empty, wifi is horrible, the house can accommodate 6 cars but they only allow 4, water pressure was very slow, it takes for ever to take a shower, no vaccuim or steamer available, no electric kettle, pots and pans were pretty old, there was a noise in 2nd and third floor at night time from the heater that was pretty loud coming through the walls. For the price we paid, I expected more. Thank you”airbnb
