Lighthouse Vacation Rentals Tybee Island

Lighthouse Vacation Rentals Tybee Island's guest rating of 4.73 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Thank you Kayla and Cameron for a wonderful trip to Tybee Island. Your Summer House was a perfect fit for our family with plenty of space and all the extras! Very clean and loved how easy the beach access was from your home. The wagon and beach chairs were a plus. Would love to stay again! Thank you!

Great location. Easy access to the pool and beach made for a great experience.

The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. There was a pull out sofa, which we wish we had known about so I didn't drag down my air mattress, but maybe I missed it in the description. It is right around the corner from Spanky's and above a bar called Wet Willie's, which is honestly why we picked it. Being right off the main strip, it was predictably noisy, but when we were in the room, it wasn't super loud and did not disrupt our sleep. There was also a quaint patio area right outside which we used to drink coffee and read. It was not our own private patio, but we didn't have any issues with the "neighbors". The pool was very nice and not too crowded most of the time, although at one point there was a group of rowdy adults and a few kids. The only drawback was the parking. We were only allowed one parking space and the spaces are extremly small and very hard to get in and out of. I'm glad I drove down my parent's minivan with the backup camera instead of my F-150.

The location was great and the host responded quickly, but for the price, the property was disappointing and poorly maintained. We encountered several issues: broken floor trim, a broken toilet seat and bathroom handle, a damaged duplex door, and broken outdoor furniture. Outside lighting was very dim or burned out, making the backyard unusable at night. The larger shower had almost no water pressure and the temperature constantly shifted from cold to hot. The A/C filter was clogged with dust and airflow to the bedrooms was poor. After maintenance, we were asked to keep the A/C at a certain temperature, which felt unreasonable while paying for a comfortable stay after long beach days. The bedroom TV didn’t work and we had to buy a Roku to use it. Mirrors were not cleaned and a sticker from a previous guest remained, all of this made us have raising concerns about turnover checks. While location and communication were positives, the many issues made the stay very frustrating.

There were cobwebs on the ceilings and the fireplace. The light fixtures were dusty, and bathroom exhaust vents have a build up of dust on them. Shower curtains are stained with black mildew.

Location convenient to beach and shops. 2 things that would have made it nicer were pillows you could actually sleep on and at least enough things in kitchen to get you through the 1st day, I.e. a couple of kcups, some paper towels, and basic things like salt and pepper. Also thought pricing on website deceptive, saying $3k which only applies to 1 person. Probably not too many single parties rent a 4 bedroom air bnb. Should be more upfront with actual cost for a group.

Walkable. Good location. However, trash left in bathroom floor, TV remote felt disgusting. Listing stated kitchenette with pots and pans, and clothing storage available. Had absolutely no storage for clothing, only a microwave and refrigerator as the “kitchenette”. WiFi did not work. Hairdryer did not work, one of the lamps did not work. Was locked out of our room when the keypad failed to work at dinner time with 2 young kids. Had to call the emergency number, which thankfully responded quickly (within 20 minutes). But added unnecessary stress. Left after 1 night (booked 3). Still received numerous automated messages about checkout after telling the host we were leaving early.

The house itself seemed fine at first. There were dead bugs (and a few live cockroaches) when we got there, but we weren’t terribly concerned about that. We stayed one night out of our two night stay and left when we started smelling smoke and seeing lights flickering in the main area. For fear of an electrical fire, we left and notified the host. The host apologized and stated “they would make things right”. Host stated they had their electrician see the place and saw there was nothing wrong with the switches. They decided they were unable to offer compensation. Host just decided they did not want to keep their word. We had a terrible stay and experience. I can’t imagine ever staying there again. Would not recommend.

Someone walked in without knocking while we were in our room, no parking pass for the first day and a half, ended up getting 2 warning for parking and almost had my car booted, I had to wash all the dishes when we got there, floors weren’t even TRIED to be swept, would definitely not pay $800 for 3 nights at this place again. Overpriced
