“We had the most wonderful weekend at this location. Our group, ages 14-50, loved the house. It is well stocked and worth every penny. They go above and beyond. Beds are comfortable, with plenty of room to spread out. There are fun games and books available to enjoy. The team was excellent with communication and we had no issues. You can walk to the Main Street of Carlton and the shops and restaurants there are lovely. We have all decided we want to come back (and we rarely visit the same location twice). A fantastic weekend!”

“We absolutely loved our stay at Blue Bird Cottage! There were three of us getting away for a wine weekend, plus my small dog. The home was adorable, spotless, and the perfect size for our group. My favorite part is that once we parked the car, we could walk everywhere. Downtown is at most two blocks from the cottage. The host was clear and kind in explaining the rules about having a pet in the home, and the home has a good-sized, fully fenced backyard, plus a private driveway. I would highly recommend Blue Bird Cottage and Carlton! I would definitely stay here again.”

“This home offers the convenience of the thoroughly upgraded kitchen with the quirks and fun of a house built in 1904. 2 blocks to Main St Carlton with great food and wine right nearby. We enjoyed a great dinner at Cuvee and wine tasting with Tendril and Ken Wright. We tried the record player but the speeds were off, 33 was very slow and 48 was too fast but we had other music. The claw foot tub is unique, thankfully there is a step stool provided for ingress and egress as the step over is a little high. The Destination Willamette team was responsive, courteous and friendly. If we ever get back to this area we will start with them. Thanks for a great stay. Highly recommend.”

“Stellar place in the heart of Amity (place of friendly relations!) Upon entering we were delighted to encounter such a first-rate gorgeous stay-place! Loved the original brick wall and lovely tall windows and darkening shades, tall ceilings, the mix of antique and modern architecture. So much to love about this spotless abode… lovely bedding, comfy mattress, cozy couch. Loved the terrace area outside watching the sun set in the west! It got a little noisy on a weekend night (inside) but we borrowed a fan from friends and the white noise covered up well. The owner/manager was very helpful and responsive too. Thank you for hosting us!”

The quiet surroundings were perfect for relaxing and recharging, and the lodging was comfortable and inviting throughout our stay. Destination Williamette was responsive to our questions, and the extras were perfect. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a scenic, restful escape.”
