“The hosts asks everyone to leave a 5 star, so I wouldn't trust a review left for this air bnb that's 5 stars. The fact that they require a deposit and it still had issues that need fixed is laughable. Scuff marks on the walls, awkwardly set up living room, towels from the previous guest left behind in the washed still wet/damp, cabinet doors loose, door is hard to open and get's stuck... the only thing going for this place is how close it is to the market. That's it.”

“Great location and extremely walkable to many great bars and restaurants. We were in town for a wedding at the Bell Event center and we were able to walk there! The apartment was clean and well stocked with the basics. The a/c did malfunction during our stay but the host was quick to respond to our report but maintenance was not able to come by during our stay. Luckily it wasn’t too hot and we were able to stay cool by using the fan. We would stay at this property again!”

“We stayed here for our wedding weekend. The place was absolutely beautiful and our photographer said it was her favorite airbnb in Cincinnati! Hosts are very responsive but had an issue with one of the mini fridges and we wish they had a real fridge with an ice maker.”

“The wrong door code was given to me for checking in. When I reached out to the listed co-host, I was redirected via auto text to a larger rental company and talked to a random person to get the correct code. This took way longer than it should have due to having to contact someone who is clearly not personally involved or invested in this property. The space was not well cleaned and was more expensive than a hotel would have been. So, I essentially paid to have the worst of both worlds. Impersonal, overpriced, and not up to the cleanliness standards that a hotel would offer. I wish Airbnb would require owners to clearly list when they are not at all involved with their listing and will require you to interface with a third party company outside of Airbnb to get anything done. I was in town for a family wedding and was excited having grown up in pleasant ridge to stay here. Unfortunately I would not want to stay again given the experience.”

“Stayed here for a short trip in the fall. Mt. Adams is a great place just a few minutes away from downtown Cincinnati and there are a couple of cool local restaurants/cafes/bars to check out. The stay was fairly peaceful until some neighbors checked in above us and made some racket and stomped around the last couple nights (no fault of the host). As far as the building goes, we had some issues getting checked in as the lock code we were given was inaccurate. I called the phone number and was able to get the correct code to get in. After that, everything was smooth sailing. The place was as photographed, and everything was clean and organized. There was some complimentary tea and coffee in the cabinet and laundry detergent on the washer. The shower worked perfectly fine (a little small) with plenty of hot water. The TV worked fine, bed was comfortable, heat/air worked great and the Wi-Fi was reliable as well. Overall it was a great stay. Would recommend despite a few minor hiccups.”

“The apartment is cute and very functional. It was very clean. However the Kitchener is not well equipped. I had to even go out and buy a pan. It is located at a really bad part of OTR. However, I knew what I was getting into since I have lived in Cincinnati for 25 years. For me to convenience to walk to Findlay market and down Vine Street to where everything is happening was more important. However, for someone that visits Cincinnati the first time that’s not a safe spot. I really want to give Chris & Chris a five star. However, since there’s a second apartment above. Once people rented that space it was so noisy. It was hard to sleep.”

“IMPORTANT: Chris & Chris require you upload your biometric information on a separate platform from AirBnb and have a coercive safety deposit policy that will require you to wait 24 hours to pay the refundable deposit, or pay a non-refundable "liability waiver" immediately. I would not recommend anyone stay at C&C properties. After I realized that the biometrics and extra fees were required, I asked to cancel my booking. C&C refused, and would not waive these requirements until I pointed out how this contradicted AirBnb's own policies. When I arrived at the unit, the housekeeper had left behind a bag of dirty linens, the shower was not working, and the tub was clogged. It was also hard to open the lockbox with the unit key, and I had to reach out for help. I did tell C&C about these issues, and they sent a plumber to work on the shower and refunded me $50 for the cleanliness issue. Overall, C&C expect more than a hotel would of its guests, and provide a noticeably worse experience.”

“This is a great location in terms of being walkable. However, it was challenging to get into and several flights of stairs to get into the apartment and very steep stairs within the apartment. Water pressure was terrible in the one shower the apartment offers. This was fine for one night but we would not stay here again if we had other options.”

“This property needs some TLC. Hosts are very responsive and the view of the river is beautiful. Creature comforts were short in supply. Property is one bedroom and bath with a loft for an additional bed.”

“To be honest, this was a mediocre stay. I feel like this happens more often when rental companies host airbnbs. Door code was wrong, but customer service helped resolve the issue. Driveway is very narrow. Air conditioners were extremely dirty and smelled a bit funky, and I had to clean one of the filters that looked like it hadn’t been touched in months. I couldn’t find towels anywhere, so I checked the washer, and so many towels were shoved in there wet that there was no way they were clean. There was also only a clear shower curtain in the bathroom. It just didn’t look ready for a stay. I had come in late, so there was plenty of time to check and make sure all of these things were ready. Communication with the host was fine, but I am overall somewhat disappointed in this stay. Don’t know if I would really recommend.”
