“This is a wonderful place in a beautiful setting with responsive and friendly hosts!”

“We had a few issues but hopefully they can fix at least some of it. The hot tub was nice, the location and river was very cute, and the downtown areas of both towns are very quaint with lots to do. The location is also very close to GSMNP! Check-in is supposed to be at 4pm, we arrived at 5:30pm and the cleaner was still inside the house and told us to come back at 6:30pm when she’d be finished. We did message the host (it’s a property management company) about it and they avoided acknowledging it. The bathroom is unfinished, as a previous person stated, but the most concerning was the humidity issues and mildew smell. There’s a dehumidifier in the home, and it’s not an uncommon issue in tiny homes, but during our stay our towels never dried and the home had a constant dampness even with A/C on and bathroom door open for ventilation. We didn’t see any visible mold at least. Overall, what you get isn’t bad but it doesn’t match what they charge, and I can’t say I’d return.”

“We arrived at the location and it had no water. They proceeded to have me check several things over the course of an hour to try and fix their broken pump to give us water. Finally I just booked another cabin next to it which was great but had to pay an additional $1200 so my family could sleep. Currently waiting on a refund that has yet to hit my account. It also had a mold smell to it in the basement.”

“As an aging traveler I found it difficult to access the home’s entry and the hot tub. I had to cancel after first night and was only given partial refund per policy. The setting was beautiful and the river sounds were relaxing overall the place was clean. Needs a proper sized toilet seat and steps to back side of deck to enter hot tub.”

“Place was an incredible stay and you couldn’t beat the views that come with it. Host was excellent in response time and providing the place exactly how it was listed. I would highly recommend staying here!”

“We loved celebrating my brothers 16th birthday here! A very ideal location on lake James. Beautiful mountain view. I begged for early check in starting 1 week in advance, I kept being told that the cleaners were not getting back to the property managers about it. Both propane tanks for fire table outside were empty, didn't get to use that. There are only 2 kayaks pictured in listing but there is actually 7, and if you bring inflatables they have a plug in automatic air blower under the house! Make sure you check the wooden chest right when you walk in the front door, lots of games! They do have a small charcoal grill under the house with a big bag of charcoal. The sunroom is even more amazing in person! Lots of good books available in the living room. All the beds were super comfy and clean. The refrigerator has ice and filtered water so just bring a reusable water bottle and you are set. Plenty of towels available. Extra blankets and LAKE TOWELS located where the washer and dryer are.”

“There were too many issues at this place to list. Most of all, we left due to the black mold and the lack of locks on the garage/game room. This house needs a lot of work!”
