“Just book it. The surroundings are breathtaking we fell asleep to the sound of ocean waves every night. The view of the ocean from the lanai is absolutely stunning. The grounds are immaculate with flowering trees and bushes everywhere it is a tropical paradise. And don’t worry about buying any beach gear! When we stayed there were beach chairs, umbrellas, tons of snorkel gear and boogey boards. Beach toys you name it! The unit is also close to shopping and restaurants on Ali’i drive. My family and I had a lovely time and would definitely stay again!”

“This place was great with one of exception. The great: excellent location, outstanding oceanfront view, very clean, plentiful beach supplies (towels, chairs, snorkeling gear, boogie boards), well-stocked kitchen, plentiful linens, nice pool and hot tub, comfortable temperature with the fresh breeze (never needed to use the a/c), good beds, and a communicative host. The exception: magic sands beach is very loud, and since you are on the 3rd floor, all of the beach party sounds come into the condo. It may have been because it was memorial day weekend, but kids stayed at the beach until late at night with thumping music blaring. Some nights it stopped at 8. Other nights it went on until midnight. Maybe shutting all the doors and turning on the a/c would have been a solution, but we wanted to hear the ocean. It’s why we booked an oceanfront place. This is not the fault of this air b&b, but it is something to be aware of.”

“If you want to enjoy sunsets and snorkeling in Kona on the Big Island, this is the perfect place. It is incredibly close to the beach, and the room condition was excellent. Even though there was an earthquake at the beginning of our trip, the property remained safe, and the host was very attentive to our comfort.”

“This place had a wrap around lanai with amazing views and very comforting to hear the waves all day. Also easy drive into Kona for restaurants and activities. Furniture was very well kept, and chairs/beds were very comfortable. The main living room has no AC and is comfortable during the day, but it did get hot and stuffy at night when the wind stopped blowing into the condo. Both bedrooms had AC units, but the secondary AC unit never reached the temperature that it was set at even after we had someone come to fix it, so it was a bit hot to sleep in that room. Knutson & Associates was very responsive to our maintenance requests and also comforted us when they sent a message saying they were checking up on all the units immediately after we experienced an earthquake.”

“Great location and sunset view from the lanai. Unfortunately during my stay the building was under construction. There were multiple crews in and out all days (including weekends) from 9am to 5pm. They were cutting rebar and repairing plumbing and electrical - which required the water to the building to be shut off twice. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue for me - I understand construction at times can be necessary. The issue I had was communication from the host. I wanted to book their next door unit for an additional week, but had to reach out multiple times to the host to find out how long construction would take. There was mold growing in the shower and I saw cockroaches and a 3” wolf spider inside the cabinets and pantry. A/C is not included in the nightly rate. I was disappointed that the additional charge was not disclosed until after the non-refundable booking was confirmed. It felt like a bait and switch.”
