Kingsley Properties Alaska

4.80
Kingsley Properties Alaska's guest rating of 4.80 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

The apartment looked just like the photos, clean and well stocked with everything we needed to be comfortable. It was convenient to be near the University, as we were dropping off our daughter. Only drawbacks were that it is an older building (and smells like it when you first walk in, +the smell stayed on my jacket), walls are thin so it’s easy to hear outside/upstairs neighbors, and the King bed in the master was squeaky and not as comfortable as the Queen in the smaller room.

Our plans changed, so we only stayed one night at Crystal’s place. From the pictures it wasn’t apparent to me that it was an apartment complex. If we had stayed longer that might have been an issue because the walls are fairly thin and we have children. Crystal’s place was clean and homey. The beds were comfortable, and we had a good night!

Overall, this place is very nicely done. A well done renovated apartment in an older building. The place was super clean and there were plenty of towels - and fans if the temperature warranted it. The kitchen is stocked, not well stocked. But, if you are doing light cooking - then you'll be fine. The apartment is up a good flight of steps - I knew this and it wasn't a problem - but if mobility is an issue, take note. There was good parking. The street noise from Northern Blvd is a pain - especially because if the windows are open to let some air in. It dies down at night - which is nice but starts early. If you need a place to just shower, sleep and do a little eating - then this is the place. It offers everything it says it does. And I am from Anchorage - and know prices are high in-season - but this is a pricey place for the comfortableness of it. Depends on what you need. Also, it is a great location. Easy access to a lot of things - 15 min from everything else.

Pro's: Beautiful renovation on this apartment and small things like free bottled water and coffee are a nice touch. Clean and amazing water pressure in the shower. Cons: Couch while pretty is very uncomfortable. I wish the king size bed had more than 2 small pillows. It was hard to find quarters for the laundry machines.

Crystal's place was perfect for our visit to Alaska. It was centrally located and served as a great "home away from home" for a week.
