“Everything that we needed in a good place”

“We stayed for 3 weeks and we highly recommend it! The apartment is small but has everything we needed: fully equipped kitchen, huge bathroom, nice bedroom. It was very quiet and really well located: walking distance from restaurants, supermarket, bars, etc. There is a private parking space. The only thing I would change is updating the furniture a little bit, as the small chairs that were there are quite unconfortable, and the mattress is a bit soft for my taste, but this of course depends on each person. Other than that, it is a perfect place.”

“Had an excellent stay”

“This place was all we needed for a weekend trip to Houston. Close to everything and easy to get around. Only things I would mention for future renters is the parking can be tight so make sure it is not a large vehicle, street parking can be the second option, and also for tall people the shower head is quite low. Overall a great experience!”

“The place was great and amazing. It was nearby many different areas within Austin. Would definitely recommend for many to rent the unit when visiting.”

“My dog and I had a really great time during our stay! The apartment was very clean and cool compared to the Houston summer, which was really appreciated. It was a peaceful neighborhood with a lot of trees and was super close to a few coffee shops with breakfast items and was super close to other highway gateways so it made getting around super easy during the world cup weekend.”

“The stay was excellent! Only thing i would recommend is for the wifi to be improved. The wifi kept continuing to drop and the signal was very very weak. If the wifi signal is improved it would be 5 stars. Didn’t have a lot of service in the area so if the wifi was improved the stay would have been great”

“I have mixed feelings about my stay. The place is charming. Kim, the co-host, was extremely helpful and responsive. The AC unit broke and she promptly helped us relocate to another apartment they own. Relocating was inconvenient but I understand it was a technical issue. The problem was when Jake, the owner, reached out on my last day of our stay and almost demanded to relocate back to the original apartment at the middle of the day and with less than 2 hour notice, citing they were expecting another guest. I thought this was inconsiderate on top of the first relocation inconvenience. He alternatively suggested moving my belongings if I wasn’t in the property, which even the simple suggestion made me feel unsafe, thinking they might come in during my stay. I politely mentioned I preferred not to relocate and there was no further communication from their side. Next day, I announced my check out and no response. They simply ghosted me. It would’ve been a 5 star, until this incident.”

“Beware if you’re someone who wants to sleep in peace. The space is the first floor in an older building where the second floor unit is also a rental - and there is very little noise control between the two. I’ve lived in New York and DC, so I know what it’s like to live in an apartment with people above you…but this was next level (in a bad way). Every noise made by the people above also made it to our unit. Those people also had a noisy party well into the quiet hours during our stay. Didn’t sleep for either of the nights we stayed there. A very disappointing stay”
