“Mold, dirty, *very old condition is not the worst of Clamhut. Electricity was out in the house when we checked in. Stressful visit due to funeral. Fixing electrical required major construction inside walls, so we declined. Host could not relocate us to comparable unit (4 beds/ocean), so promised discount / extension. Too hard to move. Then last day, at 1pm host rescinded offer and told us check out was 11am. Shocked and unprepared, tried to peacefully negotiate and host locked us out of keypad! Then host offered extension at high rate, but then rescinded extension. Then offered one night, but I could not accept on app due to faulty reception. I complained and then host said we were "trespassing"! Next a.m host sent the Sheriff to tell us check out was in 1 hr! Sheriff looked embarrassed and apologized to us. Upper management at Kendall&Potter is bizarrely hostile and unstable, untrustworthy and unscrupulous. How, with a 50 year old company? Unprofessional, immoral. Terrible experience.”
