Kauai Kahuna Vacation Rentals

Kauai Kahuna Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.70 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

The resort was private and peaceful. The condo was small but with plenty of room. You will spend alot of time on the porch. We didn't cook so not sure how we'll the kitchen was stocked. Even though there was no air conditioning the place felt good. It even got cool at night with the constant breeze off the ocean. Be prepared for all the one way bridges and narrow roads. The pool n hottub was very nice with grills. The laundry room only takes quarters but the office had those.

Great location, surrounded by lovely beaches and we definitely took advantage of the pool/hot tub. Overall a nice place, but like others have said a bit dated and could use some simple upgrades to make it nicer (bathrooms in particular). I enjoyed the beauty of the grounds. I should have read the description closer, but it was a bummer we couldn’t use the resort shuttle to go to beaches and the state park. I thought the rule limiting towels was a bit silly for the price.

The North Shore is our favorite part of the island. It’s natural, it’s quiet, it’s peaceful, and the locals are lovely. The property itself is well maintained. You can’t beat the location right on the ocean and from almost any unit on the property you can hear the ocean waves 24 x 7. It is a damp climate because it is the North Shore and without air-conditioning. If you’re there during a rainy time, it can be very damp inside your condo, but that is to be expected, considering the environment. There was more than adequate space for my husband and I and it was just what we needed to end our Hawaii vacation of four weeks for the last five days.

This location is spectacular… It is one of the most forward facing units with a water view and great access to tunnels and Ke’i. There was construction in an adjoining unit for part of our stay, which was a bummer… Lots of noise. Had we known about this in advance we either could’ve rebooked or just known that was going to to be the case and planned to be out. It may very well be that the property management company did not know this in advance, but this speaks to the need for better communication between the resort and property management for this particular unit. The highest class customer service would offer a discount, not just give the token apology, but that was not forthcoming! Otherwise it’s just what you want for low-key relaxation and Hawaiian Bliss, but do not want a TV or a splashy interior. This is a cabin-ish vibe with some resort amenities, but you come for the view and the proximity to everything magical about Kauai!

The location is excellent- you are steps from the beach. Unfortunately, the interior and communication was not. I proposed to my girlfriend here and we couldn't help but laugh at all the little issues. Right before we checked in, we got a message from the host saying a window was broken and there was no way to fix it during our stay. When we checked in, we realized this was the biggest window with the best view in the unit. I messaged the host that this was not an ideal situation and they said "thanks for understanding." I wouldn't have booked a $700 a night with a large broken window that was leaking during rain. We reached out to AirBnB support and they offered refund. Other issues was the plumbing did not work, took several flushes and some tinkering in the back of the main toilet to get things to flush (gross). 2/3 lights were out in the bathroom. Asked the host to check this out and they just said "I'll see if I can get the mechanic to take a look" and they never even responded.

They can be slow to communicate, though I suspect Airbnb is not their primary platform and they might be quicker to reach via call during business hours (though I never tested this out). Also, the room was really hot when I first entered, I wish they opened the windows and fanned out the place beforehand. Most places in Kauai don't have AC. Besides those two things, the place was very clean, spacious, and convenient with many beach equipment, washer and dryer, drying rack, laundry detergent powder, hair dryer, large refrigerator, and eating utensils and plates.

The condo was lovely, comfortable and well equipped. The furnishings and decorations , artwork etc. were top notch and the kitchen supplied everything we needed. It was thrilling to enjoy the ocean views, sunrises, and rainbows from the entire suite. The beach equipment was very nice too. We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay. We had a problem with the front door lock that took too long to resolve.

No pool access. No working coffee maker. No toilet paper. Not a penthouse. No luxury bedding. Beds stained. Carpet smelled like urine. Termite droppings all over . Hidden security cameras. Unresponsive host. Still no response from host. Two members of party injured. One required emergency care. Property mgmt company ran by unlicensed and dishonest staff. Worst airbnb experience ever. Do not use Kauai kahuna vacation rentals. You will not get assistance and your vacation will be ruined and you will have to file a lawsuit. Smoke will infiltrate your condo. You will also have to break from vacation to file police reports . members of roommade

Very large space for being just a 1 bed 1 bath. In unit washer dryer was a great plus, view of the ocean, very close to many restaurants. No complaints other than the overbearing number of check in calls days before our check in date

For the most part we really enjoyed our stay here. It was very clean, the condo was beautiful and they had everything we needed including laundry detergent, a brita filter, and coffee. However, we didn't have wifi throughout the duration of our trip and the host was incredibly slow to respond (8+ hours between each response) and the issue was never resolved. There is also an abandoned building that is unavoidable to look at directly next door. There is also a really strong smell of sulfur outside the unit and it would sometimes seep into the bedroom.
