Kabino

Kabino's guest rating of 4.66 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

The place was not what I expected for the price we paid. It had a smoke smell in the garage master and upstairs bed room that never went away. The instructions asked you to park in the garage but there was little room in the garage. The sheets on the beds and pillow cases were old and had linen balls on them from being so old. When we asked about other linen they said there were some in the closet but they were all either to small or similar condition. The fridge water and ice dispenser was broken. The dishwasher tray broke and we realized it had been tied up by a bread bag wire that had rusted through. When I reached out we got no response. The barstool chairs were all stained. The upstairs bedroom had no closet was small and the bathroom barely usable. The downstairs main area was a nice big gathering place. It was in a beautiful location next to recreation and fishing.

The location is great and the house had a lot of space. I would have liked to have known prior to booking that any excess trash would need to be packed out. It wasn't an issue in the end but would have made me reconsider booking. The ice maker/water on the fridge was broken. The upper shelf on the dishwasher was held together by a twist tie from the grocery store. We had to use a zip tie to secure it so it wouldn't fall on us. The BBQ wasn't usable based on how dirty it was. The yard was completely overgrown and not usable. There was food under the couch that had been left. The chair in the living room constantly flaked so there was debris everywhere. Overall, the house was a great house but there were a lot of small issues. Given the price that we paid I would have expected better maintenance on things.

I’ll start by saying we are very understanding people. The location is great and the views are outstanding! We showed up for our check in at 4 and the cleaners were still there, after not getting a response from the host, we waited, after a 21 hour drive, we waited another 1.5 hours with a toddler and other family members to get in. After the cleaners “finished” we got in and got settled and found numerous dirty and unacceptable cleanliness issues. We found previous guests underwear in one of the bedrooms, a noticeable urine smell in that room, hair on a left behind soap bar, a scum line around the water of the hot tub, looked like a tornado went through the fire pit area. Now, understanding things happen, we finally got ahold of the host and ask for a small compensation for our troubles. We were met with no understanding of the situation. We sent pictures and finally after being there for 4 days, they offered to send the cleaners back out, we did not accept as it didn’t matter.

Absolutely a terrible experience. The house has no AC which I knew about. However, you have to open windows to cool the house. Once it got dark there were hundreds if not thousands of bugs that made it through and around the window screens. They were EVERYWHERE. In every room, in our food, in the beds, on the walls and ceilings. The hosts solution was to send housekeeping and provide fans so we could blow hot air on ourselves. Not an acceptable solution when it is 90+ degrees outside. Took 10+ hours to get a response from the host. Had to throw out the majority of the food we just bought because bugs got into it. Most of my family spent the one night we stayed sleeping on the floor or couches because of the bugs. We left 4 days early and had to book another Airbnb out of pocket. This house is worn down and needs a remodel. May not be an issue with the bugs in the spring, winter, or fall. I'd rather sleep in a tent. Airbnb eventually refunded part of the money but not all of it.

Pros: beautiful location, peaceful area, slept a lot of guests comfortably, lots of great seating areas, TV in every room, fun activities like ping pong and pool Cons: there was trash left behind from the previous guests, including popcorn, Chexmix, etc. in the basement couches and on the floor. There were also quite a few dead bugs in the carpet, especially on the stairs. We had to clean a decent amount when we arrived, because we had small children who were spending time on the floor. Lastly, the basement looks a little beat up. Some of the walls have paint missing, there were spiderwebs, and lots of scuff marks. All in all, we had a nice stay and the cabin was large enough to accommodate our big group. I feel bad subtracting a star for cleanliness, but it definitely needed to be cleaned more thoroughly.

We enjoyed our stay. One thing we did not realize was this is a non AC home. I'm sure it was somewhere in the description, but definitely not front and center. On the first night we arrived the temperature of the house was unbearable upstairs. We all had to sleep in the basement. After the first night we opened every window and positioned fans on the windows to bring the outside air inside. This helped for the remainder of the stay. The second piece was the checkout list. I am not sure why we paid a cleaning fee for all of the things we were required to do prior to check out. If you miss any of the items you are charged extra. If you want the guest to clean the home I do not believe a cleaning fee should be charged. Overall it was a good location and home and I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars.

We had a great experience overall and really enjoyed our stay! The place is incredibly cozy, spacious, and located in a beautiful setting surrounded by nature and mountains. We even had deer visit us in the morning, which was a wonderful highlight. The outdoor dining tables and chairs were perfect for enjoying the views, the fireplace was awesome, and there was plenty of room inside with more than enough beds to comfortably accommodate our group of 10 exactly as described. However, there were a few negatives, especially given the price paid. The cleanliness was not quite up to expectation upon arrival: we found bugs in the living room, the refrigerator had a very strong, unpleasant odor, and the hot tub was not clean and carried a strange smell. Additionally, the area directly surrounding the property could use some maintenance to clear out the weeds. Side note for future guests: Just be aware that while you can see the river in the listing pictures, there is no direct access to it

House was nice with lots of amenities. However, upon arrival, the Wi-Fi did not work. The microwave did not work. The dryer was not working properly, and there were dirty dishes in the cupboard. The host was responsive at first and confirmed that a technician would be out the next day to fix everything. After telling us that someone would be out to handle the problems, they did not respond again for almost 2 days even after I sent multiple follow up messages. Finally, after the opportunity to switch houses came and went and with a day left in our stay, they responded with a “thank you for letting us know, will be sure to address the problems before the next guest arrives.” The host not helpful at all, and did not offer any sort of compensation until I reached out to Airbnb support, which did help us.

The way the Airbnb was described and it was $630 a night. I feel we did not get our value. A lot of things were not done when we checked in. When I booked it, it said not pet friendly . They have since changed this to pet friendly. When we arrived there were pet hairs on couch, carpet and Master bedroom comforter. Trash was full, Dishwasher was not clean, Laundry was left in dryer and washing machine. There were tall weeds upfront and back yard. It felt that they just were not ready for us.

DISAPPOINTED! The house is very spacious with 5 rooms and is in a great location. However, it was not as new or clean as it appeared in the photos. The patio chairs were covered in dust, and even the furniture inside felt old and dusty. The bed sheets did not feel or smell clean, and there was hair in the silverware drawer. We didn’t expect the extra sheets in the closets to be freshly cleaned, but we did expect the sheets on the beds to be clean and ready for guests. They provide only one roll of toilet paper and no trash bags. The worst part is that these details were disclosed only three days before the trip, after the booking had already become non-refundable. If you’re looking for a clean, hassle-free stay without having to think about buying basic necessities, this place may not be the right choice for you.
