JackSun Place's guest rating of 4.53 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“As we left feeling it didn’t quite meet our expectations for the price paid. We did enjoy spending time outside, but the condition of the outdoor areas made it difficult to fully relax, particularly with young children: • The deck and patio were heavily covered in spider webs and felt unhygienic — not a comfortable environment for kids. • We found a lighter left in the backyard, which was a safety concern with little ones around. • The sliding doors had noticeable spider webs and grime buildup. • The lawn had not been mowed and looked quite unkempt compared to the neighbouring properties. The outdoor space was a big draw for us when booking, and while we made the most of it, it wasn’t the clean and safe environment we expected for our family. For the nightly rate we paid, we hoped for a better standard of upkeep.”airbnb

“The upstairs apartment is not air conditioned and for >85 deg days not at all comfortable for seniors. The unit is in dire need of a “Professional” cleaning and a thorough maintenance overhaul. Most window and door screens are ripped. The patio door does not open properly as there is a broken lower wheel which is on the outside deck floor. The main entrance screen door has 3 of the 4 edges of screening tore off. There was dust collection on most things even the ceiling fans. Over all the unit was disgusting. After on terrible night we vacated the premises and got a hotel room for the next night. We sent the owner an explanation via the airB&B msg system. I can forward it to you if you like. We would not recommend this listing to anyone. Bob and Alice Rozon. Please be advised that we have vacated your airB&B. We were not happy at all with the units lack of cleanness and lack of repair, as well as not having air conditioning in an upstairs apartment when the outside temp is 88 deg. F.”airbnb

“The pictures of this place do not depict its current ran down state! Within minutes of arrival, I reached out to the hosts because the house had not been cleaned at all, and it wasn’t just a little bit of dirt here and there. dirty dishes were in the sink, hair in the bathtubs, bugs all over the kitchen counters, dust everywhere, torn furniture, broken appliances. The grill was completely rusted out . The hot tub was filthy covered in dirt and bugs. I paid for an early check-in just to have to sit on the back patio for three hours to wait for a Cleaner to come and clean the house. I purchased food to cook on the grill, but we’re unable to do so I had to throw it all away because we were in town for a tournament and had nowhere to store it. I had to pay to order food. Window cranks were broken. This is by far probably one of the worst Airbnb‘s I’ve ever stayed in. The hosts do not care about the condition of the house. Very unsafe anyone can get in broken windows on the first floor.”airbnb

“The property itself was as described, but we discovered late in the evening that the house could not be secured from the inside while occupied. The exterior doors used keypad locks, but there was no way for guests to independently lock or secure the home from within while sleeping. The deadbolts on the interior doors leading to the exits were installed backwards, meaning that they could not be engaged from inside the house. We contacted the host immediately to discuss the issue and request a solution, but none was provided at the time. Because we were traveling with young children and were uncomfortable staying overnight under those circumstances, we chose to leave. Future guests may wish to ask about the home's locking and security arrangements before booking.”airbnb

“The heat smells like cigarettes. They’re quick to initially respond in the app but very slow to get your issue resolved and really didn’t get it resolved at all. There’s still a bird nesting in the bathroom vent. I replaced the broken window shade myself. I also ended up replacing the broken shower head rather than wait. The walls are thin and the house is super loud so if you work odd hours you won’t sleep well.”airbnb

“Great location nice view of water but that’s it place was dirty things falling apart ripped furniture ripped screen door. Sand and dirt in hot tub after I was told it would be clean and functional plus beer bottles and trash around hot tub also must be very quiet due to decimal monitor. Walls and showers were filthy curtain rod in shower kept falling down needs some spring cleaning and new furniture! Only stayed one night and it wasn’t cheap! Even paid for a 2 hour early checkin so totally not worth it!”airbnb

“Pictures are outdated for listing. Does not specify that this is a shared space separated by a door - I opened the door on another family thinking that door was apart of our stay. Not once mentioned that and only had a door lock - no dead bolt also do not know why it was unlocked. Bathroom is not what pictures look like at all and the area is not the best.”airbnb

“Overall the stay was horrible. The place was definitely dirty, good thing I keep my own personal cleaning supplies. The bedding, the kitchen and also the bathroom was trashy. Hair all over the place, old used towels were in the restroom . I’ve never really had a bad experience with Airbnb until this stay. I would never stay with this host ever!”airbnb

“This was our second time staying at this house so we knew what to expect, yet were disappointed. The house isn’t perfect, which we knew, but there were maintenance issues that were not ideal. When I reached out to the host on the second day they never even bothered to respond. The house has some minor things that need attention. Then some major ones. The upstairs bathroom sink doesn’t drain well, it is clogged with gunk. The dryer is missing the start button which makes it near impossible to start. The dishwasher was missing all the wheels off the bottom rack so the spinner doesn’t work - which means you’re going to hand wash all the dishes. There’s an oil stain on the couch that was there last year that they put some decoration over to cover it. The heating unit in the king bedroom had a lot of dust on top and the filter is packed full. A window to a crawl space was wide open and not safe to access and close. I would have let this all go if the host would have bothered to respond.”airbnb
