iTrip BeachesOf30a's guest rating of 4.72 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“This place is the perfect location for Bar Harbor and Acadia! It was clean and the perfect space for our family. The square footage is smaller than I expected, but it worked well! The only thing that was unexpected is that it is connected to the office of the campground. The first floor bedroom shares a wall with the office, which means conversations in the office are easily heard.”airbnb

“Beautiful location, beautiful house. Great views from the balcony and about 3 minute walk from the beach. Master bedroom/bedroom was beautiful. Enjoyed the layout with rooms on all 3 floors. Great place for a big girls trip but def feels laid out more for 2-3 families with a great space for kids in basement.”airbnb

“The house was clean, and the bedrooms were comfortable with well-maintained beds. The kitchen was well stocked with clean utensils and cookware, which was appreciated. However, the living area was much smaller than it appeared in the photos, making the space feel cramped. The bathroom was also quite small and congested. The shower setup was particularly inconvenient, as the shower head was positioned directly overhead with very limited space, making it difficult to shower without getting your hair wet. Additionally, only two dishwasher pods were provided, which was insufficient for our stay. Overall, while the property was clean and functional, it did not meet our expectations based on the listing and was not worth the amount we paid.”airbnb

“The home was beautiful but it was not clean at all. If you didn’t have shoes on your feet were black. The showers and bathrooms were filled with hair and grime. The location was mot convenient to the beach, the pool is so small for a whole community. Was pretty disappointing.”airbnb

“Overall, great location and it was easy to get to Bar Harbor and Acadia. However, we were disappointed by the lack of basic kitchen essentials (no baking sheets, cutting board, salt and pepper, etc.). Great if you want to stay in a standard cabin close to Bar Harbor and the park!”airbnb

“The house was awesome. However from the listing you would think they had a porch with access to the pool but that was not the case. It was a second floor balcony. To get to the pool you had to walk a block which in our case was hard due to very small children. Also the floors weren’t the cleanest which I know can be hard. The code also didn’t work and we had to call several times to get in. However we did have an awesome time and we would stay again.”airbnb

“Very disappointed in this condo 7G. There was not a comfortable place to sit in the whole place. Couch very uncomfortable ...the chairs outside were uncomfortable, barstools were too close together and hard to move around just to sit. Hardly any silverware. Only 2 rolls of toilet paper for ten days. The lady in the condo above was bothersome every single day. Music loud, she was drunk and throwing things, and yelling almost every night (to herself) I did not sleep very well because of this. Alot of people partying and playing loud music most of the week. I tried to do laundry twice, and the coin machine didn't work. For the amount of money I paid for my vacation, I am very disappointed. It should be top notch for that amount of money.”airbnb

“The place had an uncomfortable amount of mirrors covering every wall that wasn’t apparent in the booking photo. You could not tell until you were inside. Every wall, but two had mirrors, even the kitchen cabinets. Worse, I found 9 cockroaches in the first week during my stay I even found three more after I call them and they came and sprayed. When I reported it neither the host nor Airbnb offered a refund because I didn’t have photo evidence. I was too busy, flushing them down the toilet to think about getting photos. I ended up checking out early even though I knew it could cost me $2700 because the conditions were unbearable. I could not stay after seeing that many. The final straw was when there was one on the curtain in the bedroom-after that I had to leave. I booked it because I was drawn to the fact that it was two blocks from the beach. I’ve rented in Florida for three years. I’ve never seen bugs let alone cockroaches like that. Very disappointed in both Airbnb and the host”airbnb

“The $ we spent on this house didn’t equate to the experience we had. The beach access across from the neighborhood was so crowded, a lot of it is blocked off for private beaches. Be prepared to be there at 8 am. The toilets stayed clogged, they knew it was a problem because one of the bathrooms had 2 plungers. The dryer vent wasn’t hooked up, so the clothes stayed damp and the humidity was awful coming from the laundry room. There was no backyard area, where the houses surrounding had a nice outdoor setup, either a screened in porch or chairs/hang out area. The parking was the biggest issue. The house states it accommodates 12 people but once you book, they let you know you can’t have more than 2 vehicles, and you can park a few miles down the road at Walmart, because the overflow parking for the entire neighborhood is 3 spots. They towed the golf cart at 1 am out of our driveway. They claimed part of it was in the street and it was $400 for us to get it back. Wasted a whole day.”airbnb

“The home was as described and the pictures were representative of the property. Communication was great leading up to the stay and during our stay. Our one issue was we only had 1 fob for a house that sleeps 14 people. I called upon check in since a lost fob is $125. We were told prior to arrival we would have 2 fobs that would provide access to the beach and 2 pools. One fob was a major inconvenience. We had to plan our trips to the house together or call someone to come let us through the gate. We all had to go to either beach or pool. We could not split up since we could not gain access to two different places. I called every day except one and no concessions were ever made. The people were responsive to my texts (Carsten and Antoinette). Antoinette said she was contacting the management, no solutions were ever offered by management. I would not be writing this negative review had management stepped up and reached out to us.”airbnb
