Island Rentals of Hilton Head's guest rating of 4.71 is below average and may adversely impact performance. “It was a fine place to stay. The parking voucher pickup was annoying. It was not the actual pass. Next time I would just pay the $20 to avoid the hassle. Other than that the place was average. Nothing spectacular but a fine place to stay. Easy enough to get around.”airbnb

“This unit had MANY nice updates (great kitchen, dining, fixtures, most furniture & upstairs master). Unit needs attention: dirty/stained carpet, had spiders, doors sticking, many inside drawers dirty, a dirty shower curtain, scuffed walls, needs paint work. Needs some new pots/pans. Needs to remove woven/crochet blankets which felt dirty! Many bathroom hardware are loose (one bar actually fell off the wall). There are a couple of foggy windows. This unit could be VERY nice if the owners keep updating it. The potential is there!!! Pool was great.”airbnb

“Had a great stay. The unit was clean . Check in was a little different because you both units enter through the same door and one goes up stairs and the other down. There are usually two completely separate entrances. Would be great to show an image of that in the listing.”airbnb

“This was a beautiful stay! Amazing neighborhood and beautifully renovated home. There was some expected things missing: important cooking utensils, soaps/shampoos, the iron does not work, there was trash in the trash can upon arrival, and an empty container of hand soap at the kitchen sink. We have a crawling baby and immediately had to pull out the vacuum and clean all the floors before letting him down because there was dirt and dust all over the floors. There was a random supplement or pill of some sort in the bathroom on the shelf under the sink. (Gross, and dangerous!) This home is definitely in need of a DEEP clean: baseboards scrubbed, shower floor scrubbed, etc. All in all it was a beautiful place and perfect for what we needed, but it needs much more detailed cleaning in between stays. Our white socks were black on the bottoms after walking around on the floor 🫣”airbnb

“We stay in a lot of Airbnb’s. We really want to get what we pay for. The place was ok. Owners must have pets because there were fleas in the master bed. We didn’t make a fuss. Neighborhood is obviously amazing being in sea pines. A little sand in kids beds but you know….we are at the beach. Extra blankets were unwashed and had stuff in them and so we just washed them. Couch was big and pretty comfy and we did enjoy the sunroom.”airbnb

“Good location in Palmetto Bluffs, great for families and pets. Walking distance to pool, the beach, and a few restaurants. Free bikes were a nice touch given the bike paths. There were basic cleaning and toiletry supplies in the unit, which some airbnbs skimp on, so that was appreciated. My only complaint was the parking situation. I purchased a second parking pass in advance but it wasn’t in the envelope when we arrived. When my family member arrived needing the pass, she couldn’t enter Palmetto Bluffs and the parking attendant called the cops. I sorted it out with an after hours call to Island Rentals and they printed a pass quickly, but the oversight was such a mess. The gated communities in Hilton Head are really strict on entry and parking which felt totally unnecessary.”airbnb

“Excellent location but stay lacking a lot of improvement. The lack of cleanliness will prevent us from staying here again. From the damp carpet in the hallways to the beer bottle tops we found on the floor, to the layers of dust on basic furniture to the dirt and dust under the sofa and recliners - it is extremely evident that this place is not thoroughly cleaned. Pillows are very uncomfortable and no beach towels provided. Location is excellent, host was responsive. When we arrived there was a very foul odor from the kitchen sink drain and they sent maintenance the next day to address the issue which was appreciated. When we expressed that the place was dirty they offered to send cleaners, we agreed but they never showed up.”airbnb

“Home was clean and spacious. Supplies in home were few including toilet paper, paper towels and start up supplies. At night, the living room ceiling, which were 20 feet high, had a flashing light which made watching tv difficult and could be seen from the master bedroom. Island Rentals was called on the first day and sent someone to the home. He did not have access to fix it, so it remained flashing for the entire week. Bring an eye mask. We did have an enjoyable stay.”airbnb

“Place is cute and cozy. It was little things like no broom to sweep the sand up from the beach. Mold on the master bedroom wall, and WiFi instructions were incorrect, could not connect any of our devices and left early due to inability to work. Tried to reach out for assistance once and they responded full but were short and not very polite.”airbnb
