Island Park Cabins & Lodges's guest rating of 4.64 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“We stayed at this cabin for two nights during our Yellowstone trip. The cabin itself was comfortable, but we had a concerning experience with the management. One evening, when we returned, we found the door open and the lights on. It’s possible that we accidentally left the door unsecured when we left, but since we weren’t certain, we felt uncomfortable entering and contacted the Airbnb management for assistance. Rather than helping us assess the situation or checking whether everything was safe, the conversation focused on assigning blame and insisting it was our fault. As we didn’t feel safe going inside without knowing whether someone could be in the cabin, we eventually called 911, and the responding officers were very helpful. What disappointed us most was that the Airbnb management never followed up afterward to check if we were okay or if the situation had been resolved. While the property itself was fine, the lack of support and concern during a situation where guest safety”airbnb

“everything was great besides the hot tub not being in functioning order which was a main selling point for us”airbnb

“The place was great. It was bigger than the pictures show. Close to west entrance, family had a blast.”airbnb

“Great location just outside of West Yellowstone - near to a local grocery store, gas station and restaurants. Private space - next to a golf course. Rooms was a bit warm, hard to control the HVAC system. Couldn't locate the external garbage bin and could have provide more shower gels for guests.”airbnb

“the stay was mostly good. it seems they are unaware of some worn out items in the house. the sofa recliners are breaking and not in good use anymore. the Teflon pans in the kitchen are all scratched and unusable. even the pancake spatula was worn out beyond belief with food stuck in the crevasses. my wife wouldn't even use it after I boiled it. the rest of the house was good with one bar of soap been two bathrooms, we cut it in half. the hot tub and fire pit were great after a long drive. hot water was fine for about 3-4 showers worth. I liked the bed I slept in. a little bit more attention to some details, and it would be a 5 star stay.”airbnb

“We all thought this place was great. The interior looks just like the pictures so it was very nice, the beds were comfortable, the house looks fairly new and we really liked some of the activities available for the teens (pool / air hockey… although somewhat wobbly, foosball, movies, and a hot tub). Unfortunately we didn’t get to use the hot tub or movies due to spending all of our time at Yellowstone and getting back to the house late each night. The kitchen was also well stocked and served us well. The only drawback was the surrounding yard & fire pit had lots of weeds and maybe some construction materials around. The entire island area seems somewhat new with more houses being built so other houses in the area seemed to have similar raw yards. Also, having to go to the shack to get the gate key every night was a little annoying as well, especially when getting back late and tired. But, the good far outweighed the minor annoyances we would certainly consider staying here again”airbnb

“Avoid this property. The property had no hot water. This was not a minor inconvenience—members of our group were left standing in the shower with shampoo in their hair for nearly two hours waiting for hot water that never came. We eventually had to book a hotel room just to shower. What was even more disappointing was the host’s response. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, the host repeatedly told us that they had never experienced this problem before and that previous guests had not reported it. Rather than addressing the lack of hot water, the host focused on why they believed the issue should not exist. As paying guests, we should not have to convince a host that our experience is real. We reported a basic utility failure and felt that our credibility was being questioned throughout the conversation. The entire interaction left me feeling dismissed, disrespected, and unfairly treated. As an Asian guest, I could not help but feel that we were being judged differently.”airbnb

“Arrived late on Friday after a long day of travel got to the lodge to find it uncleaned. Crumbs all over the floors, found hair in the bed and a large pee stain still in the sheets. Went to the other room to check if we could sleep there found a fingernail from a previous renter I guess on the nightstand. Ended up only getting a few hours sleep on the leather couch because it was the only cleanish area in the house. I thought the owner would take care of me but after telling me there would be no charge since we wouldn’t be staying the rest of the days. They still billed me the total trip. Avoid this like the plague they don’t clean their cabins. Terrible stay and terrible management who didn't hold to there word charged me for their dirty cabin after they said they would not.”airbnb
