Housepitality

4.65
Housepitality's guest rating of 4.65 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Outskirts of German Village but very walkable neighborhood. Pizzeria across the street. Easy access to interstate! Clean and cozy.”

“It was a really nice stay. Lots of food and stuff to do around. You are on a busy road so just be aware of that. Other than that amazing stay.”

“This was an adequate place to stay for one night, however, it was pretty expensive for what it is. There were no paper towels in the kitchen and only 1 roll of toilet paper for 2 bathrooms. There was noticeable dirt on the curtains and a very musty smell in the whole place. There are dogs that live downstairs that woke us up multiple times barking. Overall it was fine, but we wouldn't stay here again or recommend it to any friends.”

“Great location, lots of beds. House is falling apart in some spots and the kitchen isn't stocked at all. Bathroom downstairs is comically small/cramped. But hey the location is great and it fits a big crew.”

“This a beautiful little home tucked away, east Columbus. I love the fireplace area and hammock. However the washer didn’t work so I had to leave and go wash/dry clothes, I caught about 10 crickets inside and put back outside and I could here them in the walls at night/early morning then about 3 days before checkout I went to load the dishwasher but while I was rinsing the dishes off the water seemed to be backing up into the dishwasher that I didn’t even try to use after it started leaking because I didn’t want to deal with the flood. Oh and they advertise the garage for use but it wouldn’t roll up to be able to use. I then realized I booked under housepitality and just haven’t had good experiences in their homes..”

“The host was very kind and responsive, but unfortunately the house was very dirty, smelled of smoke and in need of maintenance.”

“You can sleep inside it’s very dirty and a lot of the spider in the bathroom all furniture bad bugs everywhere if you sleep you’re itching all night he does not work. AC is not working. Everything about this house you need to throw it aside and burn it because how much bedbugs spider a lot of stuff in the floor in the wall a lot of flying stuff the furniture smell like shit you look like a living in and the jungle and I called the host and I sent him the picture and video. He’s not give a fuck about anything because he doesn’t care only they take their money and that’s it and very nasty building smell like shit you can’t sleep inside you’re gonna be wake up in the morning. Everything is broken in your body and read and I sent him the picture and everything he doesn’t care and he not give a fuck and always sorry to hear that you know about your location is fucked up and that she smell like shit and a lot of trashy and everything inside you look like you’re loving in the farm .”

“Place was decent, its a bunch of bedrooms with digital locks all in one unit. In terms of coziness it didnt particularly match my standards (paint bucket in room, chipping appliances, visibly old white linen, etc). So if you just need a place to lay your head in and not necessarily a place to relax and seek comfort in, then this is fine. My other tenants weren’t locking the door behind them so it does pose a security risk but as long as you're locking your own door there's still some form of barrier. Would recommend that they get an outdoor camera to talk to tenants about not locking the front door. There was cups, plates, pots/pans, etc which was nice. There is a laundry machine but there's no detergent (just a bunch of empty bottles/random things) down there to use it with.”
