Manager Review

HomeStayHQ by Central Management Realty

HomeStayHQ by Central Management Realty's guest rating of 4.61 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

The property condition and furnishings were bad, especially given that we were paying a $1,000 per night for a Thursday-Monday stay. I suspect the exterior hadn't been cleaned in 6 months - Grass was 1-2 feet tall; Leaves, branches, and trash were left in the yard from the Fall. The driveway is crumbling. Two of 3 garbage cans were left half filled with water and misc. floating trash. To make matters worse, the landscapers randomly showed up on Saturday morning at 8:30 AM so we couldn't sleep in. It needed to be done before we arrived! The inside smelled terribly musty. The kitchen and bathrooms were largely "surface cleaned" but need a thorough cleaning. Paint is tired in much of the house. Furnishings are tired or dirty. Dusty molding/woodwork throughout the house. Some of the blinds were broken. The Host performed his required responsibilities but didn't address any additional requests. Worst value/rental I have had in 35 years of travel.

This home is clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed. It is close to Notre Dame, which we visited, and close to my family. A disc golf park was not too far away either. We had a wonderful time and look forward to coming back.

Cheap uncomfortable furniture. Had to buy a chair from goodwill to have a place to sit in the living room. Shame on the property owners.

The AC/heating is really a problem is you have people on both floors. The first night it was 80 degrees outside and the upstairs was incredibly hot we went and bought an extra box fan but it was still too hot. Then (as it happens in Indiana the next night was 40 degrees outside so we turned on the heat and the bathroom upstairs was a sauna but the front bedroom was cold. Never found a hairdryer and the towels were very old.

It is a good place to get there, it meets everything you need and is super close to the university area, if I could say something bad it would be that the place seemed to have had time without being used and if it had a little dust but nothing out of this world

Zero charm, but functional. Had booked the place for 10 days. You get what is in the description, a functional and clean room that can sleep two if needed. But don't expect any charm that would want you to stay longer. Grey walls, old carpet, and basic furniture makes the room look rather darkish and not very inviting. But I guess that's what you get for this price. We used the sofa bed as second bed, as the main bed is rather small and one would need to climb over the other person to get out. We did not use the kitchen. The bathroom and shower were fine and clean.
