“Awesome place if you don’t mind overpaying for a dirty pool and a shower with black mold and dead bugs in it.”

“Close proximity to Hocking Hills. Host did not seem to have familiarity with the property. Told us to check for linens upstairs or in the garage, of which this place had neither. Host then had more towels, and bed linens delivered night 2 from Walmart. Place was all right, overpriced for what it was. Thought having to sign waivers and extra liability fee was a bit sketch, but needed a place on short notice. Overall fine. Not the greatest of the couple dozen AirBnBs we've stayed.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at the house. The place is full of history and is in beautiful condition. I wish they would make you aware of the $40 fee or $400 deposit that happens in a 3rd party app. Maybe I missed a memo somewhere but was surprised there is an additional fee / deposit on top of what you pay on air bnb. The diner next door is very good and would highly recommend it. Overall a great place to stay.”

“Very spacious house for my family of 6. My son the bday boy enjoyed the game room and community pool the best! The house had a very stale smell; just smelled like pets. I had to burn a candle throughout my stay to freshen the house. Maybe pet owners, are immune to those type of smells. I also felt like I was being watched outside by the cameras, while in the hot tub. I got a random message from host telling me to make sure the pool is covered when not in used and latched. That was a little creepy. But overall, my family enjoyed our stay for my son’s 5th bday weekend!”

“This place is false advertising and needs to be removed completely from this app. I was so turned off by the smell and environment that I will never use Airbnb again. I will be sticking to hotels moving forward. At least I have some sense of security with hotels. The house reeked and throughout the house it smells as though it is mold infested. The sofa was so dirty i didn’t want anything to touch me. The beds were as though someone slept in them and they remade them. Linens were stained, towels were dinghy and the floors were atrocious. The photos on display are photoshopped and not as portrayed. Just a filthy house. I couldn’t even bring myself to sleep in the house for 1 night. I had to leave and book a hotel room. I communicated with the host and they didn’t even offer a partial refund. I hope this place will be permanently removed so this doesn’t happen to anyone else.”

“The place was nice enough. Provided an outside link requiring additional security deposit prior to getting address and code to check in. Place was kind of cleaned but the garbage can was overflowing outside when we got there / and floors had a good amount of left over food and debris from previous guests. Rooms upstairs don’t have air vents so never really cool down. Place wasn’t awful but can’t give a 5 or even 4 star.”

“This property was booked for one reason. A father and son fishing trip. Before booking I messaged host to inquire the properties accessibility to fishing since it was lakefront. The host stated, "fishing is very easily accessible because the property is right on the lake". So, I booked it and the excitement began for me and my son. When we arrived at the property we looked at the lake accessibility first thing only to be extremely disappointed.The lake was unusable due to extreme vegetation. Within 10 minutes of arrival I messaged the host explaining our concerns about the lake. The host was very UNHELPFUL and really didn't care. I asked for a refund and was told no, the vegetation was not their fault.The vegetation was not new, it was there when I asked her initially before booking.Long story short, Airbnb had to step in and help me with the deceiving description and the failure to communicate the true property description(you won't be able to use lake/fish, only look at it). HORRIBLE”

“As a 5-star Airbnb host myself, I don’t leave negative reviews lightly. Unfortunately, this home did not feel well maintained for the price. The pool was full of bugs and took nearly an hour to clean before the kids could use it. The hot tub smelled like dirty water. The house stayed cool, but there were no blinds, so closing the drapes for privacy blocked the A/C units. Towels were hidden in an unlabeled closet, not in the bathrooms, the kitchen wasn’t stocked well for a family, there was no dish detergent, the yard was overgrown, trash was visible under the deck, and the deck noticeably moved when walked on. There was no safety rope marking the deep end or handrails on the pool steps. Or no outside lighting except for one outside porch light. Communication was the biggest disappointment— I felt like I was talking to somebody running a business not a true host. There was no thought put into this house The photos make the property look nicer than it is. We would not stay here again”

“TERRIBLE Airbnb experience! This house is old, outdated, and has poor SAFETY! We checked in for 3 nights at 6pm. By 10pm on the 1st night, we heard a loud noise in the home from the 3rd floor while everyone was downstairs resting. It sounded like an intruder and made my wife and our children feel EXTREMELY UNSAFE to the point we called the local police. They arrived and checked the scene out. They agreed that this location had been troublesome and strange occurrences have happened. We told the host of our problems and we would leave and not return because we felt very UNSAFE! We requested a partial refund seeing that our stay was for 3 days and we left within 4 hours of day 1. The host proved an apathetic attitude towards our situation then refused to refund in any capacity. The greed and apathy of this property owner was very distasteful! They choose to keep my money knowing we left the unit for SAFETY reasons. If you still choose to stay here, proceed with caution and bring weapons!”
