“My stay at Alex& Lala’s place was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable. When we had problems with light bulbs in the kitchen, they took care of that quickly. The only issue we’ve had was that people on the upper floors are making constant noises, like stomping, wheeling, or banging, especially around 2 am or 4am. So, it was hard to get good sleep.”

“Great location, good price, smooth pin-pad self-check-in and quick communication, but the stay comes with real compromises. Noise from upstairs is a serious issue: children and dogs start early, even on weekends (woken at 5am), and builders were working above for 5 of 6 days, cutting tiles right outside the door, even at 8am on a Saturday. Guests weren't warned about the renovations before booking. The microwave light couldn't be switched off and lit the whole living/sleeping area all night; despite photos and videos, no fix was arranged (the only slot offered was midday to 3pm). Replies are fast but generic. The AC can only be adjusted via the agency, and it was chilly. Also: a few cockroaches, a bed base with a missing slat, and a WiFi name that didn't match the brochure. On the plus side, the flat was clean, the kitchen well equipped, and complimentary local coffees and teas were a nice touch. Great potential, but not recommended in its current state. Bring earplugs and an eye mask!”

“As far as the place and the communication and attentiveness of the host, this was 5 Star. The only reason it is one star removed is because this is a very urban area. the surrounding urban area did not always feel comfortable or safe to us. Around the nearby Metro station, we frequently noticed a strong smell of marijuana, as well as individuals who appeared to be using drugs or behaving erratically. There was also a visible National Guard presence around the metro, which seemed to help maintain order. We simply felt it was important for future guests to be aware of the surroundings, particularly when walking to and from the Metro.”

“I had a fantastic two-day stay in this Georgetown Airbnb with my son. The location is incredibly convenient to local stores and restaurants, making it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer. The place itself was great, very comfortable and well-maintained. Furthermore, the host's communication throughout our stay was excellent. Highly recommended!”

“Beautiful 2 bedroom, 1 bath home. Close to Capital and walkable to historical sights. A/C and heater works great. Kitchen is well stocked, loved that the host provided coffee, sugar and creamer. Thank you!! The host was very helpful and responsive. I messaged requesting extra mattress topper. Soon after 3-4 duvets were delivered. I will book again with them for our next trip. We usually travel to DC twice a year.”

“Our family of 5 enjoyed the Memorial Day weekend in the sweet and cozy Home Sweet City apartment. We appreciated the lovely, organized, clean, and thoughtful little touches of the place such as the comfortable beds and couch; modern bathroom; office nook; tea and coffee; and ample closet space and hooks for all our things. Loved the location and safe neighborhood with easy parking, and proximity to many places. Communication with our host was excellent! Thank you Home Sweet City for a memorable stay.”

“Clean and spacious for two people. Easy to come and go with the code on the door instead of carrying around a key. As described, there were some bugs, but I guess you can’t get around that. The footsteps from upstairs, and the water from the pipes were quite loud, but that was also expected being in the basement. It’s about a 10 minute walk to restaurants and stores on 14th Ave; not a big deal except when you have a heavy haul of groceries from Trader Joe’s. Home Sweet City was always very responsive and pleasant. Enjoyed our stay!”

“My stay in Home Sweet City's apartment was great! The apartment was very clean and had just what I needed for my short stay. The hosts were very responsive and ensured I had a great experience while there. The neighborhood was also very close (walking distance) to the National Mall and Union Station, which was perfect for me. Overall, the apartment was perfect for my needs and time in D.C.!”
