“My wife and I booked this getaway to celebrate her birthday and it was the perfect peaceful cabin in the woods! It was a brief trip, but we enjoyed hiking in nearby Hocking Hills and a bike ride out of nearby Nelsonville. Very much appreciate the hospitality and the secluded setting. A great find.”

“We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin! It was beautiful, modern, cozy, and incredibly clean. Everything was thoughtfully organized and made it feel like a true home away from home. The hot tub was definitely a favorite and made relaxing after a busy day even better! The host was wonderful and very responsive anytime we had a question or needed anything. You can tell a lot of care and attention went into making this place comfortable for guests. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing getaway!”

“The cabin was very clean and looked exactly like the pictures! We loved being able to relax in the hot tub and look out over the river. Instructions on check in and check out were very clear and easy to understand as well. Our hosts were very proactive in reaching out before and during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. We would absolutely rent one of their spaces again!”

“This was a perfect location for our group of 6 (3 couples)! Grocery was within 10 minutes, kitchen was stocked with necessary items, comfortable areas for us to relax and enjoy our time. The pool table was loved on. Loved the upgrade on the gas grill. The back patio was perfect for evening dinners and hangouts. The Jobie was very responsive and suggestive with things to do. Check in/out instructions were straight forward. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you!”

“We absolutely loved our stay at The Lakota. The bed was very comfortable, the temperature of the cabin was easy to control, the kitchen had all of the main necessities, and we loved the decor/aesthetic of the space. I'm so grateful for our wonderful stay. The few (very minor) things we ran into during our stay didn't impact the enjoyment of our time and it's still worth all 5 stars! Notes for future guests: + Hairdryer caused the bathroom electricity to go out, but the maintenance team quickly handled it for us. + Listing said there would be oil for cooking and I didn't find any. + There's a cozy blanket in the ottoman at the foot of the bed that we didn't discover until we were packing up to leave! + No wifi and poor cell service was a little inconvenient since we didn't know the area, but thankfully I had gone old school and printed a few maps before the trip. Being a little disconnected was good for a getaway. :) + Don't forget shampoo, conditioner, body wash.”

“LOVED this place. Yes, it's unique but the privacy was the best part. Hot tub was great after a long day of hiking. Didn't have to worry about neighbors. Great. My wife said it is her favorite AirBNB place we've stayed. Host was great. Responsive. Proactive with info.”

“If you are looking for a quiet, private out away place to stay. Then Hillside Retreats is your place. We loved the dome and everything it has to offer. We really enjoyed our evenings by the fire and in the hot tub after a long day hiking the Hills. Would definitely stay there again if we come back this way. Thank you Hillside Retreats.”
