“I was impressed! The cabin was very clean and tidy. My grandson had a lot of fun jumping on the jumping pillow! The location of Hilltop was fantastic for us. I wish I had known I chose a cabin with 20+ steps to get to the door as it was a challenge for me.”

“I should have seen where there were many stairs to get to 109 cabin. Hard for seniors. It's pet friendly but the friendly big dog next door let their dog bark pass midnight while they sitting there. Parking was sketchy for cabins with 2-3 cars per cabin. With that being said the cabin was great and super clean.”

“We overall enjoyed our stay and would recommend Hilltop to families looking to stay in Hocking Hills area. You can't beat the location, it was really close if you were looking to explore the park as well as close to some of the local area restaurants. We were somewhat disappointed the internet did not work well (very weak Wifi signal from our particular cabin) so the SmartTV's didn't work at night. You don't go here to watch TV, but sometimes to wind down at the end of a long day is nice. I was also under the impression there was a spot to swim near the lake based on the listing but this is not the case. You can rent their kayaks and launch from their location but if you want to swim you have to drive to the beach which is about a 7 minute drive, so not too terribly far. Overall the cabin itself was exactly what we needed--a clean, comfortable spot to rest our heads after exploring the area and being outside as well as a great kitchen area to prepare some small meals.”

“It was exactly like the pictures. Nice little area. However, our air was not working when got there because they were unaware it was broken. When it was brought to their attention, they immediately brought in a cooling unit and were so kind. The cooling unit did not keep the area as cool though, and it was hot. Then my husband, who is active duty military, was called into work a couple of days later. We had to leave early because of this and they did not give us a refund for the nights we were not there. That was pretty disappointing. As a military family, when my husband is called into work, we don’t have the luxury of saying no, so we had to go as soon as we got the phone call. This doesn’t happen often, but on the rare occasions that it does we make sure we communicate very upfront and as soon as we can with anyone else involved. Unfortunately, because we did not get a refund on the nights we were not there I would not stay with them again.”

“These cabins are nice. They are small, but serviceable. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, although the pillows weren’t great. The TV is comically small. Think dinner party episode of The Office. We arrived right after check in time to find that the cabin had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. We had to wait about an hour, which doesn’t seem like much, but we had three dogs who were ready to lay down. Other than that it was a great little cabin.”

“We arrived at 3:30 PM, 30 minutes after check-in, only to find the cabin still being cleaned. No one contacted us to say they were running late — which would have been helpful since we had just gone grocery shopping. The housekeeper said contacting guests “wasn’t her department” and that the office would reach out when the cabin was ready. They never did. The cabin itself was adequate but unremarkable. The view was a disappointment — the cabins are packed so closely together that neighboring units are essentially all you see. The cabin also had a noticeable marijuana smell upon arrival. Overall, this was my least favorite Airbnb stay. The lack of communication throughout was the biggest issue. The space was fine, but between the poor communication, the dismissive attitude, and the smell, I wouldn’t return or recommend it.”
