“We stayed here for four nights for our annual family vacation and were disappointed by the overall condition of the property, especially given the nearly $10,000 cost. Upon arrival, the house was 80 degrees inside and took all night to cool down. An HVAC technician later told us the filter had not been changed in months. The biggest issue was cleanliness. The home had a musty odor, rugs smelled, floors felt dirty, and there were visible handprints and grime on doors and surfaces. Our comforter also had a stain. There were numerous maintenance issues, including cracks and holes in ceilings, bathroom doors that would not lock, squeaky doors throughout the house, and a missing TV remote in the primary bedroom. Outside, the pool was dirty, trash was overflowing, furniture was worn, weeds were overgrown, and some tables contained wasp nests. We understand lakefront properties require upkeep, but the home felt neglected rather than maintained. The photos are beautiful, but unfortunately the”airbnb

“Overall, the space was very nice! We had a few areas that were not cleaned previously in the master bedroom, like the pillowcases had makeup stains on them. In the master bedroom it also looked like the comforter had a blood stain on it (small but still visible) and the same looking stains/marks on the floor length mirror in that room. They also did not advertise that they had outdoor seating and pool floaties available which is super minor, but we obviously wouldn’t have packed our own inflatables if there were some available already.”airbnb

“Overall, we had a decent stay, but for a property charging $500+ per night, there are a lot of maintenance and quality issues that need attention. The biggest concern is the lack of attention to detail throughout the property. The outdoor carpet continually flaps in the wind, creating a trip hazard. The exterior of the home could use a thorough power washing, as it appears neglected and impacts the overall first impression. The listing promotes lake access, but the lake is not truly swimmable, which should be made clearer to guests. Additionally, one side of the dock is occupied by the neighboring property, leaving very limited space to actually dock a boat. Inside the home, the master bedroom doors squeak, exposed wires hang from the TV creating an unprofessional appearance, and one of the bar chairs is broken and feels very flimsy. The living room couch is noticeably worn and overdue for replacement. The mattresses were another major issue. Multiple guests complained of back pain”airbnb
