Grand Welcome Vacation Rentals Of Galveston's guest rating of 4.77 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Overall, my boyfriend and I had a great stay! Communication was excellent, location was perfect, and the unit was a great size. The Murphy bed was surprisingly comfortable, and we really enjoyed our stay! A few minor things for management to note: • Check-in & Cleaning: I paid $30 for early 3:30 PM check-in after a 14-hour drive. We reached the unit at 3:53 PM and the cleaner was still walking out. It felt rushed: dust, fingerprints on mirrors, unwashed pillowcases (only 1 clean spare), and towels for 1 person instead of 2. • Lighting: Only a couple of lights worked, and the switches were not easily accessible. • Maintenance: The toilet kept running unless you wiggled the handle, and the TP holder fell off the wall. These small hiccups didn't ruin our trip! With a bit more attention to detail, this spot would be perfection

The house itself was nice and spacious, I loved how all bedrooms had their own bathrooms and plenty of room to sit, however there was no extra toilet paper, paper towels, no trash bags, no salt in the shaker, no access to a broom to clean up after ourselves, and only one white bath towel for the shower, we had to buy essentials of the stuff listed above and we were only there for two nights. Also it seemed as the cleaning was rushed, there was still hair in the showers and dried pee stains on the toilet seats, gross, Another problem we had encountered is we had left some of our belongings outside around the back, we left for two hours and they were gone, stolen, I reached out to the host asking if they could check the cameras the day it happened and they had stated they would and get back with us, we still haven’t heard anything back even after following up to update, it’s been about a week still with no update about our stolen items, so definitely a little upset about that ):

4/5 Pros: It was nice, mostly clean, and welcoming. The surrounding neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. There’s a coffee shop a block away. Good location. Cons: Cleaners still inside cleaning when we arrived. We waited in the car for them to finish, which after a long day and check in at 4 pm was not ideal. Parking permit was not easy to find and we were worried about our vehicle being towed or ticketed. After a couple of hours of messaging and calling the host the permit was left in one of the drawers by the cleaners. Overall would recommend again

While this beachfront house is beautiful and in a fantastic location, our stay was ruined by a cockroach infestation and highly disorganized management. We found roaches in the kitchen and bathroom, which made us feel incredibly dirty. While the rental company was responsive, we were constantly messaged by multiple representatives giving us contradictory information; they first promised an exterminator the same day, then rescheduled for the next day at 1 PM, only to no-show and finally arrive three days later. To make matters worse, we kept finding live roaches even after they sprayed. When we asked to be relocated, they only offered us a townhouse in the city, which was an unacceptable downgrade since we paid for beachfront. This is a beautiful property, but the terrible host experience and bug issues completely ruined our trip, and I would not rent from this company again.

The condo is filthy—floors turn your feet or socks black within minutes. The washer is full of mold and smells terrible. The building feels unsafe: uneven stairs, no lighting at night, and it’s on the third floor with no cover. “Private parking” is a joke—the lot is tiny and difficult to use. We dealt with multiple power outages, including one that lasted nearly 5 hours on our last day. Management was dismissive when we asked for any kind of credit. If you’re bringing a pet, don’t—there’s barely any space for them, and no one cleans up after their dogs, so you’ll be dealing with poop everywhere. It’s also loud nonstop with traffic and a nearby bar.

Everything was decent for our family but given that I have small children I would have appreciated that the home was better cleaned. I found dusty shelves and messes and dust under beds and dressers. The instructions in the forwarded email did not align with what we were provided with. It was confusing because there was also a paper posted with different instructions. There was no basket to put dirty towels, there was no elevator, no lobby, etc. so we were expecting different. Overall, it was a good stay other than those small fixes.

We ended up checking out the morning after checking in at 5 pm the evening before even though we booked for 2 nights. This place was as beautiful in person as it was on the pictures, however when we walked in the smell of mold was overwhelming. We thought maybe because it was an older building and it was locked up the smell would eventually go away. IT DID NOT, it actually got worst after it started raining non stop. By morning my son and myself were itching and struggling to breathe properly, his face even broke out in hives which I’m assuming was from dust mites. My daughter took her slippers off when we got upstairs and after an hour of walking on the floors her foot was sticky with a thick film of dirt(same for the plates on the table). We checked out at 9am when the rain slowed down. I reached out to support and they kept apologizing but offered no solution.

Most uncomfortable stay in Texas. -whole place felt dirty. black pet hair on the couch. The old school washer and dryer felt like they were not clearly cleaning clothes. The dryer kept stoping so you have to go back over and keep pressing it to restart -temperature in the house never could regulate. Whatever the temperature was outside that is what it was on the inside -clearly diy home. Hot water had to be fixed. Holes all throughout the bathroom walls. The shower was so poorly designed you needed to put down at least three towels to not flood the floors. There is no counter space in the bathroom making it impossible to feel comfortable with storing things or getting ready in the morning. Along with clear exposed wires from the ceiling fan. -our dog who never runs away escaped from the backyard. There was a stump covering the hole in the fence. -smoke detectors went off in the middle of two different nights. So there was no smoke detectors in the house halfway through our stay.

First off, the photos of the inside of the house were accurate. However, the backyard was dangerous and not as pictured. There were boards, nails, bricks, & v overgrown. The kitchen was not fully stocked. First night we bought a bottle of wine, no opener. Had to go buy one. Next night, got cookies, no baking sheet. Also I assume the downstairs & upstairs share the same water heater because when the guests downstairs were using it, we had ICE COLD water. Couldn’t even shower on the day we were leaving. The response time was bad. I sent them messages concerned about the backyard, no response. I kept getting automated responses from someone in Denver and they would respond to half the message and not address the other issues. I NEVER got a resolution on the backyard the entire time I was there. I have a disability and was traveling with my service dog and needed the backyard to be safe. I’ve never had to leave a bad review on any bnb I’ve stayed until now. They did allow late check out.
