“Made the reservation, then two or three days before, I get a terms and conditions sent via message that is likely the same as what got willy Wonka locked up from not reading the fine print. 1600 words of terms and conditions, most of which don't even apply to this property. I would have cancelled if I saw this in advance. Hidden under the "view more house rules". The place was fine, but I felt unsafe seeing that both the upstairs and downstairs doors had their chain bolts broken off. Wedged a chair ok the door just so I could at least hear if someone was breaking in. The carpet near the bottom of the steps where the front door are was torn up, so im not even sure if that could be used as an exit. Under the sink it looked like they poorly poured over grossness. The backyard stairs leading to the entrance are metal including holes that had rusted through. It wasn't the worst, but just a lot of sketchy stuff.”

“This was a perfect location and met our needs. The host was very proactive, and I really wish I could score the property higher. But it’s simply not a 4- or 5- star stay right now. Read other reviews for more details. Caveat emptor.”

“Great communication, and the size of the house was nice! We were concerned about the heat upstairs from the other comments. There were no issues with that as there were AC units in each window and fans in every room making it very comfortable. The only downside of anything was that there was not much seating in the living room, as well as the lighting, and the lack of towels. Overall, a decent and clean stay for what we needed it for.”

“Things could have been better cleaning wise and there was a broken chair so I couldn’t sit but overall not a bad stay”

“The home is located in a very convenient, quiet neighborhood. The house had ample space and amenities. The major downside was the smell. The home had a very strong smoke odor that is still in our clothing and bags almost 2 weeks later after washing.”

“Pros: • The neighborhood was great for walking and for kids to ride their bikes. The cars on the road do go pretty fast considering it’s a neighborhood, so just something to note if you have littles. • As far as the house goes, it was fairly clean although the baseboards & walls looked like they’ve not been washed in a while. • wonderful location, great to everything, generally safe feel of the neighborhood. Cons: •Two of the three beds were broken and really could be replaced. The king bed has lumps that get uncomfortable after a few days. The bed in the room without the patio doors is very loud and broken down. When someone moves it’s heard all over the house. • Unless you have two compact cars, the driveway is NOT made for two vehicle, regardless of what’s said. I asked ahead of time and was assured both cars would fit yet a Subaru and a Jeep couldn’t fit. Neighbors parked on the street though so that’s what we did and it was fine. Overall we would recommend this property!”

“The photos are misleading. This place is nothing like the listing. We walked in, looked around, took pictures, and left. We never stayed. Inside it was broken down and filthy. There was a strong mold smell through the whole place. Carpets on the top floor looked like they were put down to hide whatever is underneath. We walked out because it was unlivable. They still kept the money. If you show up, see the real condition, and leave, do not expect a refund. Do not book this listing. You will get a dump and they will keep your money.”

“Check the previous comments on water problems. To me, the major problem with water was the fire suppression system leaking water from an installed smoke/co detector. Water from an electric smoke/co detector!! This water was leaking in the bedroom and correction of the problem was very slow. I am speaking of the second report of problems. The first was minor dripping in the bedroom that was absorbed by a bath towel. Leaks in the flat roofed sun room were probably initiated by heavy rain fall. The water in the bed room was a separate problem. The host should consider financial remuneration based on the problems we encountered. Jim flint 8/11/26”

“Great location for the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable, there was plenty of room for our group of 11, the kitchen was well stocked, and we appreciated the large dining table, laundry room, and family amenities like the pack and play and high chair. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by the surveillance and house rules. 3 days before our stay, we received a lengthy email explaining the property uses video surveillance and noise monitoring, with warnings of fines or removal if noise exceeded 60db. Traveling with six kids and an infant, it made us feel like we had to walk on eggshells & stay indoors, instead of relaxing. I wish this had been disclosed in the listing before booking, as we would have chosen another property. Another surprise was that accessing the Wi-Fi required submitting private info that we were uncomfortable sharing, causing us to use our hotspot instead. Would not stay here again.”

“While the cabin itself was fine, getting to the cabin was another story. It is located about a mile down a single lane gravel road, that does not appear to be kept up well. Some areas are so rough and have deep grooves that the bottom of our van was scraping on the gravel while going 3 miles an hour. Do not rent if you do not have a 4x4 vehicle that sits up high.”
