“If you are looking for basic lodging this is your place! The beds were comfortable. There were bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths. I was disappointed with this Airbnb. The description said it had air conditioning . . . and yet there was no air-conditioning in the living room. I called the host to let him know the air con was not working and he said he would let someone know . . . it never got taken care of. I set up fans to blow air from the bedroom into the living space. The back shower did not have hot or even warm water. There was a sign that said to leave the water running for 10 minutes . . . well it was still cold. I shared the other shower which was uncomfortable as it was my daughter and her spouse's space. This is a 6 person Airbnb and the kitchen was under stocked with water glasses. There were two. Yes, if you like coffee there was a creamer and that yellow sweeter. No sugar in sight. I wish the host would have put more thought in to this Airbnb.”

“The place was nice, but the smell given the location was not pleasant at all. Once your indoors it's fine. The house was spacious and the beds were comfortable. I stayed with my family and it was fine if you were only there to sleep and spend a little time inside. The cleanliness needs to be improved. The trash bins were full of other peoples garbage and it was not pleasant.”

“We were double booked, same day, same time and same lock combination. A random family walked in on my wife and I private activity. Very embarrassing to have strangers walk in on us. This is the only ABnB that I’ve been at tell their guests to grab all linen and towels and throw them in the washer. We only had 1 roll of toilet paper for 8 people. Luckily we were out all day and only needed the place to shower and sleep. Not recommended at all.”

“We rented this home for family and friends attending my brother’s wedding. Glendora is a beautiful, safe, and quiet community, and the house itself is spacious. Unfortunately, the property did not live up to its description as a “luxury estate with sparkling pool and elegant amenities,” especially at over $800 per night. The kitchen was poorly equipped, with old cookware that should have been replaced, no oven mitts or kitchen towels, and a broken ice maker and water dispenser. The coffee maker also needed descaling before use. We paid an extra $50 per day for pool access, but arrived to find a dead lizard and other debris floating in the pool. The sleeping arrangements were also disappointing, with improperly supported mattresses and one unusable bed that forced a guest to sleep on the couch. While some requested items were eventually delivered, communication with the host was frustrating. Airbnb support was very helpful. Overall, the listing overstated the quality of the property”

“We had high expectations for a great stay. Upon arrival, the home had a foul odor throughout the house. ( maybe mothballs? ) not a fan. As we checked in, my husband said hey, there’s a lady outside. I step outside and said: Hello, can I help you? The lady replies: I’m watering the plants. My husband and I were honestly spooked by this as we believe this should have been done prior to our arrival to ensure we have our privacy as we are renting the airbnb home. Then, my husband and I heard a unique chirping and we stepped outside in the back patio to view the birds, and we run into a man in the back yard also watering the plants which scared us! I ask excuse me, are you the homeowner??? H said yes I’m watering the plants. ( both husband and wife were unannounced & never mentioned this on the airbnb listing to watch for homeowner will come by while you are renting their airbnb ) The hall shower needed cleaning, had orange mildew around the floor. Beds are very hard, we didn’t rest.”

“1 .Upstairs bathroom/sauna is outdated and dirty/molded caulking lines 2. One double bed down stairs is so old with flimsy mattress and springs squeak with every move however gentle. 3. Old and broken cooking pots 4. instructions was Not available until few hrs before check in and then lock code did not work. 5. Our booking was for a group of 6 for 4 nights and each bathroom was provided with 1 1/2 toilet rolls, hello? Other than those mentioned, the place was clean, nice and quiet neighborhood and if you drive, easy access to most places.”

“this was a terrible stay. the place was advertised as luxury, it was not. it was dirty some appliances do not work, the master bathroom shower floods the bathroom. the toilet paper roll holders fall off the walls. there's no plugs for the kitchen sinks and the dishwasher doesn't work. the pots and pans are broken. there's no mixing bowls. tongs, baking sheets and cutting boards and some of the stem ware appear to be from the dollar store. the propane was empty for the bbq. the kitchen chairs are dirty folding chairs. the patio chairs are in need of repair. the screens on all of the sliding doors are ripped. the host will apologize daily and tell you they are working on it. I am still awaiting there response. its been weeks. The beds and towels were clean though.”

“It's clear this isn't a privately owned Airbnb or one that anyone has ever lived in because the kitchen very ill equipped, the oven didn't work and the soap dispenser door in the dishwasher also stuck shut so the soap never touched the dishes, and I actually found an old soap pod in the dispenser from the previous stay in the compartment. When I messaged that the oven wasn't heating up the response I got was "the oven wasn't listed on the amenities" and use only the range top. Seriously? I was in town w/a family of 5 for a funeral, had bought groceries intending to cook only to find not 1 mixing bowl, not even salt or pepper and a non working oven and dishes that needed to be handwashed. While responses to msgs were prompt, all they did was apologize- not provide any remedies or solutions. The local phone # provided never worked and was pointless. We checked out a day early and never heard from the property manager despite asking twice.”

“The place was easy to find. The parking instructions said to park in front of the garage. There were three garages, so I messaged the host asking which garage to park in front of. I received what appeared to be an automated response stating to park in front of the garage. One of the AC units didn’t work for a couple hours and the other one started spewing out debris. Contacted the host and I kept getting a response mentioning they will get back to me shortly. I had to contact Airbnb support and checked out next morning. Before checkout, a handyman showed up and mentioned that I was the first person renting the space and the unit hadn’t been used in a long time, which was why the AC was shooting out debris. He was really nice, but I wish the host resolved the issue the night before. Other than the AC issue and lack of clear instruction on the parking, the Airbnb was clean and I would have stayed longer.”

“The host canceled last minute due to "water damage" and was unable to provide any evidence regarding this. Effectively, this upended plans for my entire party without reasonable resolution from the host. If the places this host lists are in such bad condition, they probably shouldn't be listing their place.”
