Georgia Mountain Rentals

Georgia Mountain Rentals's guest rating of 4.77 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Great place to stay. We enjoyed cooking in and hanging out with family and friends. Great place for kids to get in the creek and float. Majority of house was clean, but some things were not taken care of before we arrived. Area for excess trash was not removed from prior guest and animals had gotten into it and trash in yard. Bugs and dust in tub in one bathroom. Had to clean before using. Dirty towels hanging on back of door in upstairs bathroom. Dead bugs and major spider webs on screened in back porch. Instructions for hot tub need to be included. Difficult to get it to work not being familiar with screen. Leaves and sticks all over front and back deck when we arrived. Calendar availability looked as though there were guests before us but not much evidence that someone had been there to clean really good before our family arrived.

Overall we were pleased with the stay. We really only used the house as a place to sleep, shower, and use the hot tub. We loved the hot tub and the outside fireplace. The bed was very well loved and not comfortable. I was a little frustrated with our arrival..the confirmation email with the directions to the cabin stated “the address for your rental is listed under our logo,” that address took us 15-20 minutes to the opposite side of where the cabin actually was. I wasn’t able to reach anyone either to navigate through the confusion, we ended up finding it, but it was very frustrating not to have that black and white.

Let's start with check-in was at 4.... check-in was not. it wouldn't work or let me in. The host didn't answer the entire stay. There were some roaches. The hot tub did not work properly. The wifi nor the TV worked. Still didn't hear anything from the host. The heater dries everything out. The entire stay was absolutely miserable and I spent nearly $1,000. NEVER again will I book with this host or at that cabin.

For the most part, we enjoyed our stay here. Once we got to the unit, we walked in and it was very chilly inside. No one had turned the heat on before we got there so it was quite cold. We tried getting the heat on and were having a difficult time figuring out how to do that. There were no instructions on how to get the heater to work. We also tried to get the fireplace to work and were unable to get it started. I sent the management company a message that evening and got a response the next day that the buttons on the remote were backwards. So we had to turn on the AC to get the heat going. It would’ve been extremely helpful if that was left in a note or somewhere for us. They also said they would send someone out to look at the fireplace. We never heard anything else about the fireplace, and were never able to get that going. The bed was very comfortable as well as the pillows. There were plenty of towels, the hot tub was great, and the place was very clean.

This was an ok stay for us and wasn't worth the price. In a wooded location, with several other cabins in the area, but very quiet. Our check-in code was wrong; took us 30 minutes to finally check in. There is very little privacy inside the cabin: the only interior door is to the bathroom so there was a wide opening between the kitchen and the bedroom with the twin beds; very inconvenient for naps. We used a tension rod and sheet to try to create a barrier between our toddler sleeping and the rest of the house; I wouldn't recommend this place if you have kids. The fireplace was nice and heated the loft quickly, but kept the rest of the place very cold. With no HVAC, this was very inconvenient, especially since it meant that you had to leave the space heater running if you wanted any heat downstairs. The hot tub has gobs of hair and grime stuck in the filter. It's very small; the drawers of the fridge couldn't be opened because the fridge door couldn't open all the way. Look elsewhere.

The good: Really you’re getting a great location with this, within 20 minutes of some amazing hikes (Blood mountain, Yonah, Anna Ruby Falls), Helen and everything you need. Hot tub was clean and well maintained! They provided a backpack and hiking poles to use which was very nice. Easy to get to even with a sedan and felt decently private even in winter without leaves. The minor things that were not so good: I’ve come to expect things like coffee/tea, laundry pods, etc when such appliances are provided - there are none of these so expect to bring those yourself. The bathroom floor really needs to be replaced and the bed is…well loved to say the least. I just felt overall a little bummed with the level of care I was looking for in this stay. Felt very corporate, and it is.

We enjoyed our stay at the Cabin. The space and location were good. The hosts were responsive and nice Unfortunately there was some trash left behind in the back yard.. The inside fireplace was a little tricky, but ultimately worked well. I like Airbnb, because I enjoy dealing directly with owners. This property was managed by a company. I had to sign an additional contract and provide my drivers license, extra hoops I would rather not have to jump through. Overall it was a solid cabin for the price.
