This cottage is very cute beachy without being tacky. But it is beginning to be shabby. Lots of hard use; there were sugar ants in the kitchen ,palm fronds not adequately trimmed back, weeds growing up in the side parking space, rusty items inside the paper towel holder and door stops etc. The caulking in the bathrooms is moldy. The kitchen isn't adequately stocked for example there wasn't a spatula. This is a very cute beach cottage but it needs some detailed attention.

My absolute only complaints are the kitchen space and fridge. The refrigerator and freezer barely kept our food cold and took literally two days to freeze ice. Household essentials weren’t easy to find(Had to go all the way downstairs by the pool to retrieve detergent and dishwasher soap) this is also a shared space, not entire house like advertisement claims.

While the house was as pictured and clean, I would never book a stay with Vacasa again. When you try to message them, you’re getting a random person in a corporate office who knows nothing about the property. The issues started before we even arrived when we noticed the house google maps showed us didn’t match the listing pictures. I tried multiple times to get someone to respond to me to figure out the issue and couldn’t get clarification. We arrived and sure enough it was the wrong house. We had to jump through hoops with people at the 800 number to get in contact with a local person that helped us locate the house. When we arrived at the correct house we discovered the automatic lock was broken and not engaging. The local manager told us where the physical key was and said someone would be out to fix the lock. No one ever came to fix it the 4 days we were there. I could go on and on… Pros: walk to beach, clean, quiet Cons: not well stocked, no WiFi/tv (and the island wasn’t crowded)

Stay was okay but the WiFi didn’t work and we couldn’t find it. The coach definitely needs to be vacuumed and the dishwasher smelled

We checked out a day early. Poorly lit rooms. The bed is really high off the floor. There's a small step ladder to assist but that thing has seen better days. There's a small fountain as you enter the mini courtyard that oozes black water (needs cleaning). The place is near water so the mosquitos are out for blood. Can't be outside more than 5 minutes. Can't fill tub upstairs past a 1/4 full before you run out of hot water. Really short walk to Main street. People and hosts are nice. Just not nice enough for me to stay another night there though. One night was enough.

The location of this house is great! I also loved that there was ample parking. While clean, the house needs repairs. The toilet seat has wear marks, water hose handle was broken, the door hinges were rusty and not even screwed in on main bedroom. You couldn’t shut the door which is a privacy concern. There were a lot of things that gave the impression owners were spending the absolute least money possible for bare minimum comfort. The beds were uncomfortable and on the cheapest frames. The couch was lumpy and uncomfortable as well. A few inexpensive updates would really help make the Airbnb worth the money. All communication was automated and felt like I was speaking to a bot. I didn’t need the door or water hose handle fixed during my stay but there wasn’t even an acknowledgement to the message I sent the host. Everything felt like it was managed by a company from afar.

The lock did not work. Had to call to get the code for the lockbox so we could use the key. Agent came the next day but could not fix the lock. Directions for watching TV were not clear, did not work. Place definitely not in walking distance to the beach.

Place is much smaller than pictures make it seem. Keep in mind your on the owners property. Will say it's a cute property. Had issues w pool being clean, internet didn't work (practically) - too scarce to actually work, also if you have the stove on the AC won't catch up (gets hotter in the house), found some dirty dishes from last guest.

Doesn’t have pool, over priced, and terrible small beds and terrible customer service.

The hot water did not work and when a refund was requested the owner gave us back 15%. This was not acceptable for cold showers. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were old and flat. The place needs a lot of work. It’s a shame that’s such a cute place in Fredericksburg would not have the comfortable amenities that you would expect from a town like that for $400 per night. The owner needs to spend a lot more time and attention on making the place comfortable and amenable to guests. Start with hot water and filling up the soap bottle. Comfortable, sheets. nicer towels. Nobody wants to use grandma’s old towels. And to be honest anything less than a king size bed is ridiculous than a guest house.
