“We had a great stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and in a really nice location. It was within walking distance of the beach and right next to Coconut Marketplace, which made it easy to explore the area and grab food or shop nearby. Overall, a convenient and enjoyable place to stay. Would definitely recommend it to others!”

“We loved our stay at The Islander! Great central location in the middle of the island and next to lots of shops and restaurants. We really appreciated having towels and beach chairs that we could take with us on our adventures and enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub each night when we returned.”

“The home itself is nice and close to the beach. The host was kind enough, until we learned there was a hurricane off the coast of Kauai. The forecast called for 100+ mph winds and 10+ inches of rain. The Mayor declared a state of emergency, so we tried to cancel the remainder of our stay so we could evacuate. The host refused to give us any sort of refund and stopped responding when we sent the documents from the government declaring the hurricane a threat to property, infrastructure, and life. So, yeah, cool spot. Not so cool when there’s a hurricane”

“Kapaa shores was very easy to access and great for car rentals as the parking lot was free to park in any space. It was in a great part of the island and we loved the pool and hot tub amenities with the ocean front back yard. Additionally we appreciate the early check in flexibility. Rated 3 stars b/c of lack of communication within the trip & slightly dirty top bathroom upon arrival. While host was attentive at Check in/ out , we had an issue w dishwasher as it started excessively leaking and flooding the kitchen with steaming water. We immediately stopped the cycle to contact the host w videos and pics but did not receive a response for 12 hours. Within the 12 hours, we had to shut off water in our unit b/c the dishwasher turns on by itself and continued leaking so guests could not shower after a day at the beach. The maintenance did come to fix, but wish the host had been more clear about the timing of maintenance visit - hope the next group to stay has a better experience.”

“Overall, I had a nice stay. The place was very clean, the area was beautiful, and the resort itself was really cute. One thing to keep in mind is that there isn’t really a view from the Airbnb itself. My main disappointment was the experience at the front desk, as I didn’t feel very welcomed when I arrived. I also wasn’t able to get a physical key, which I needed for Sabbath observance, and that was quite frustrating. Aside from those issues, I really enjoyed the property and had a pleasant stay.”

“If i could give this a place a zero, I would. There were cockroaches coming from the bed. I booked this place for a family vacation and within 5 minsof being there had to book another place. It was not ok.”
