“I didn’t want to make this a review downing this house but I must say the house is nothing like the pictures. The house gave antique feeling its needs work done. There was no tv’s in the room the only tv was downstairs in the living room and we couldn’t get it to turn on. Downstairs was cold up stairs had 3 or 4 fans in each room, broken blinds, the stove didn’t work, mold in the showers on the curtains to be specific, and the water pressure was horrible. I couldn’t find my code to enter the house considering they emailed me multiple times about my trip, when I finally got in the house I was not impressed. If your trip is last minute I would say book other than that I would not recommend this old house.”

“We loved the neighborhood with the hills and beautiful homes. It offered lovely privacy. It is just a few blocks off the main road. It was quiet, while being located close to coffee shops, restaurants, Walmart, downtown and the family we were visiting. The three bedrooms gave us plenty of room to spread out. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well while there. I like that decor items were kept to a minimum. I like a home with minimal clutter. For the record, there are 13 steps leading up to the front door. I mention that for anyone who has difficulty navigating stairs. This compares fairly with the typical number of stairs in a townhome with bedrooms upstairs. Be aware the driveway is steep, but flattens out at the top to make for easy parking. We will definitely stay here again. A few local recommendations. We get our coffee from 7Brew (a chain) and Santos (local). Bandit is an incredible bakery in downtown. We love the farmer’s market at Pepper Place on Saturdays.”

“The house was pretty clean. The kitchen could use hand towels and pot holders. Dishes were not clean. Some general maintenance needs to be done to the house. Pictures on Airbnb were taken quite a while ago. Driveway is very, very steep. Lots of stairs to get to the front door-would be difficult for someone with mobility issues.”

“I ignored some of the other reviews but don’t make the same mistake. It’s hard to overstate how bad this house is. I don’t know how old the pictures are or what filter they used, but the reality doesn’t match. Furniture is old, stained, broken, or all three. Paint peeling and mold in multiple places. Holes in walls, doors don’t close properly, etc. The list goes on and on. Can’t use the excuse of “old house charm”. It’s just a dump. Two people in our party decided to leave and stay in a hotel despite having already paid. I was even scared to use the coffee maker given all the mold around the house. I can’t believe Airbnb allows this property to be listed given the condition. It certainly isn’t worth what they’re charging. I wouldn’t stay here again even if it was free. Only thing positive I can say is communication with Kristin was okay. Otherwise, Avoid, Avoid, Avoid!!!”
