“It was great! Check in was very easy, the place was extremely clean, Phillip answered almost immediately if we messaged him. The check out process was the easiest I’ve had with what needed to be done with the house. We would definitely stay again”

“My stay was wonderful for the two nights we were there. Things were very clean and comfortable. Perfect for a couples getaway. The private trails are very nice if you are interested in hiking and have differing routes based on experience. Hot tub works and is just as clean as the rest of the place. It was really nice that they even considered a birthday card for my significant other. Will consider coming back!”

“Loved staying here! The bed was super comfortable, relaxing and we loved the pond and trails on site. The fishing is catch and release but kept us busy with the amount of bites we received. The trails are well maintained and the amenities in the cabin were great. You can tell Phillip pours his heart and soul into this. There were k cups, sandwich bags, cooking spray, salt and paper, plenty of clean towels, and shampoo, conditioner and body wash all provided. The kitchen, the gas grill , and the fire pit made this such an extra special getaway. The wood is included for the fire pit. We loved staying here , would highly recommend if you are a couple in the thick of parenthood and need a quiet place to recharge, reconnect, and spend a few days this is it!!!”

“From start to finish, Phillip welcomed us to our property and it was a beautiful place for our family to spend our vacation. The area itself was amazing but to come home to the Hitching Post after our daily adventures was so perfect. We will definitely be returning!”

“Phillip was a great host. We stayed 4 nights, he checked to see if we needed and trash removed and our hot tub was checked to see if chemicals was needed. The cabin was clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils and linens for both kitchen and bath. We had a relaxing time there at green log. And enjoyed the trail going to the pond. The stairs to the loft are a bit scary, but they are sturdy. The summer stay has a dehumidifier running inside the cabin. I would recomend turning it off before bed, and turn it back on in the morning. I use a cpap with built in humidifier so it didnt bother me, but for anyone else it may be too much dry air while you sleep.”

“For a 200 year old reassembled cabin, I felt as though it was built yesterday! The space is immaculate and you can tell that Phil has an eye for detail! The indoor space was quiet, peaceful, and accommodating. The outdoor space was the same with a bonus visit from mama deer and babies greeting us during our morning coffee on the porch! Made a few chipmunk and squirrel friends too! The pictures did not do the space justice either. I lost count of how many times I said the word “WOW”. We will be back I can guarantee it!”

“My husband and I stayed here for our 1st anniversary and had a great time! Phillip was friendly and helpful at check in, giving us local maps, trails, and information about their property. The cabin we stayed at was private, peaceful, and kept very clean. We enjoyed the hot tub, feeding the fish at the pond, and walking around the property. We had a wonderful weekend trip and would recommend!”

We loved the location of the cottage and the trail to the pond on the property. The pond is beautiful and peaceful. The cottage was clean, cozy and perfect for our little getaway. We love everything about this location and how helpful and friendly the host is. We will definitely be visiting again!”
