Frio River Escape

“We always enjoy staying here. Short walk to the river bank that’s only for people staying at their property. Short walk back to the houses for the restroom or to grab food. It’s a great river location with deep water (at least 4.5-5 feet) and shallow on the other side for kids. We really enjoy staying here.”

“This is the second year that we’ve stayed at Frio River Escape and likely not the last! The cabins are always very clean, located right next to the river with private access, and perfectly set up to host a growing group of friends. We love staying here for the ease of getting to the river and now that our group includes small children, it’s perfect to be able to walk right up to the cabin in under a minute when it’s time for a nap. The central pool is also great if you’re not quite ready to give up on the water, but it’s time to cook some dinner. Overall we love staying here and it’s always a fantastic time! Pro tip: I would suggest bringing your own pillow if possible, especially if you’re someone who prefers a fluffy pillow. I would also bring an extra blanket or two as it can get chilly with the AC at night, and extra blankets are not available. And don’t forget your pool towels!”

“Great escape for the weekend. On the last day everyone at the other cabins checked out so we had the whole place to ourselves. The river access was steep but pretty private and a great type to swing into the river for the kids. We will be back.”

“Frio Escape was a great location! Not too far from Mager’s crossing, which is my absolute favorite place to always visit. Lone Star home is where we stayed and it had the best secluded area. Not far from a small convenience store as well. Would stay again!”

“We stayed in Oasis Cabin 2 at the Oasis Resort, and both the campground and cabin were amazing! The location on Magers Crossing is absolutely perfect for enjoying the Frio River. The staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful. Having come to the Frio River for over 20 years, we highly recommend the Oasis Resort!”
