“Leslie's place was ok. The approximate location of the house listed was very different than the actual location. Not helpful. There was a noticeable smell and there was some mold in the closet that they had to have someone come repair while we were there. The house could use a deep cleaning. The house was small. Leslie was helpful and very responsive.”

“Very Disappointing Experience Unfortunately, this was the worst Airbnb experience I’ve had in four years. The house had a strong humidity issue and unpleasant smell, along with flies and bugs. We were promised someone would come to address the humidity problem, but no one ever showed up. We paid for a designated parking space, but another vehicle repeatedly occupied it. We were also charged a $200 linen fee and told we could take the linens with us—which is completely impractical for guests traveling by plane. The most concerning part is the $500 security deposit being held for up to 30 days after checkout, while other guests may stay at the property during that period. How can responsibility for damage be fairly determined weeks later? Thiss experience has seriously made me reconsider using Airbnb. A traditional hotel offers professional staff, immediate assistance, and much better accountability when something goes wrong .”

“Reading the original listing I didnt see anything about a security deposit. Immediately upon review of my reservation they approved and said they will require a $700 security deposit, $500 for house and $200 for the dog. The money was returned after our stay, no harm no foul, should list it in your ad.”

“The house is located in a quiet neighborhood even though it is right off a main street. Stores like Walmart and Walgreens are located quite close to the house. There is a great variety of different type of restaurants in addition to fast food restaurants. It was easy to get to Chicago even with traffic. It was quite close to Northwestern University, a 12 minute drive!”

“The home was pleasant. We stayed a month, July. The a/c went out during a particularly hot week. Repairs were made within 24 hours. The a/c ran continuously, mostly because the house (windows) aren’t well insulated. It took more than 24 hours for the inside to cool to 77 degrees Fahrenheit. Our lease included $300 for utilities, anything over comes out of the deposit. At this writing we do not know how much over it is.”

“advertised for 8 people only had 3 beds. 1 couch 2 chairs in the living area. A dining room table for 6. Very little storage space. No towel racks or soap racks in the bathrooms. They want to charge a fee for extra people if you have more than 4 people. The power went out for over 24 hrs. and when I requested to move to another Airbnb the next day, they reluctantly canceled my contract the next afternoon. Then they tried to charge me $200 for not checking out by 10 am It's obvious they are corporate and strictly about the money. They made me jump through so many security hoops and then surprised me with final deposits after taking me through a long process. Stay away from this company not worth the hassle.”
