“Beautiful peaceful place with lots of deer in the neighborhood. The home is dimly lit, but with a cozy feeling. Neighbors visible from driveway with about an additional house apart. We had some issues with entry that could have been due to weather (rain) and hosts are not readily nearby to deal with it but are accessible via phone. Otherwise wonderful.”

“We really enjoyed our stay overall! The cabin was clean, cozy, and very nice, and the host provided clear instructions that made check-in and our stay easy and smooth. There were just a couple of things we wanted to mention as constructive feedback. We were definitely excited to use the hot tub. Upon arrival, neither the jets nor the lights were working. The host promptly provided instructions to restart the system, which resolved the issue with the jets, but the lights remained nonfunctional despite restarting multiple times. To add, unfortunately the hot tub had an unusual odor when removing the cover, and didn’t seem very clean, so even after getting it heated up, we decided not to use it. Aside from few things, we had a great weekend and really enjoyed the cabin. The host was very responsive, and responded to all questions very quickly. We appreciate the stay and hope this feedback is helpful for future guests!”

“The house was beautiful and very clean, matching the pictures shown. There were some cons to our stay however. We could not use the fire table due to not being able to turn on the propane tank. The host was responsive and said they would check with their team but never responded with a solution to the problem. We also did not carefully read the description when we booked and did not realize that the hot tub was a wood burning hot tub. It was difficult to get it heated and we had the fire burning for several hours with no luck. We asked the host for help and they did provide further instructions but we had to Google that the display panel had an error code and needed reset in order to work properly. We spent a lot of our weekend trying to fix this issue so we could actually enjoy the hot tub. Finally, the security at the gate to the community were very rude and unhelpful. They would not let one of our guests in even though the host confirmed they had added that guest to the reservation.”

“We had an overall nice and cozy stay, everything was clean and instructions were clear. We had some struggle with the lockbox but after reaching out to the host, we were able to get inside. The biggest disappoint was the fire pit and heater lamp on the deck both had no propane left and we were not told ahead of time we had to provide our own propane so we were not able to use either appliances. We also paid for firewood and ended up not using it due to weather but still had to pay for it and was not able to get a refund. There was no coffee for the coffee machines, which I would expect for the price we paid. It was a nice stay but I do not think worth the price for the lack of convenience.”

“The location of this property is great, with easy access to hiking trails and other outdoor activities. Unfortunately, the house itself fell short of expectations. Our biggest issue was the broken bed frame in the master bedroom. It was unusable, so we had to move the mattress onto the floor to sleep. We notified the host immediately, and while a replacement frame was delivered the following day, no one ever came to assemble it, leaving us to deal with the situation for the remainder of our stay. Another major issue was the cleanliness. The house had a strong musty, unpleasant smell, seemingly from being cleaned with a dirty or smelly mop. We brought this to the host’s attention as well, but nothing was done to address it. Overall, the property has a lot of potential thanks to its location, but it definitely needs some TLC. There are quite a few little things that seem to be falling apart, and better maintenance and attention to cleanliness would make a big difference.”

“This property and the surrounding area are excellent. We easily found it with GPS and while it's in an area with visible houses around, it still felt remote and peaceful. Unfortunately, the entire experience was marred by consistent asks for more money. Starting during the days leading up to the booking they reached out asking if we would like to check-in early for a fee, after declining they continued to push. Once onsite, we discovered that the fuel for the hot tub and sauna (wood-fired) as well as the grill (propane) were not included in the booking fee which was substantial. When we asked about access to the wood, there was a sign on the shed containing wood stating unlimited access was $25 for our convenience, however, they sent us a request for $35 which did not align to their onsite signage. They reached out again during the stay asking if we wanted a late checkout for a fee. All in all, it felt very pushy to get more money out of us on an already "premium" booking cost.”

“Terrible experience No Internet, no wifi, Bad smell No sauna”

“The property is beautiful & has a lot of potential, but its condition and our experience didn’t meet expectations. When we arrived, we weren’t on the security list, so we waited 25 minutes to get in. The biggest issue was an extremely loud noise directly under the bedroom that ran all night, making it impossible to sleep. It sounded like a fan or pump. The host initially said it was a normal house sound, but later found to be a faulty exhaust fan. Although we said there was no need to send anyone, someone came anyway, banging on the side of the house without notice, which was unsettling. The hot tub had visible sludge and a film on the seats. Microwave door wouldn’t close and part of the panel was coming off. Several exterior lights were out. We noticed a previous review mentioning the same microwave and hot tub issues. We tried to be understanding but too many issues remained unresolved. The lack of sleep, cleanliness, maintenance, and communication significantly affected our stay.”

“The place is peaceful and the host was responsive as well. The bedroom and bathroom were clean. The kitchen is very small and there not any counters table so it was hard to cook or move around in there with more than 1-2 people. We booked the place for 8 people and the main living room is not meant to fit that, it was very crammed to be in there. They do have basement game room which was nice to move around. The main issue I had was that the back door was not locking and I had let the host know of this. The host sent someone the next day to look into this but the host did not properly communicate when they will send this person so I missed them. I had requested again for them to look into this matter but it was not resolved. I felt unsafe as we were all females staying in the house it was unsafe to have the back door unlocked while we slept. The host could have made more effort to fix this issue. There are few nice lakes around the area to look around.”

“I am writing to demand a refund for our recent stay. The condition of the property was entirely unacceptable, fell far short of what was advertised, and ruined our experience. Therefore, we left early and didn't stay the night. We faced a systemic lack of maintenance and non-functional amenities throughout the property: Misleading Hot Tub Advertising: The website explicitly states the hot tub takes 1 hour to heat up. It actually took 2 hours and 45 minutes, rendering it useless for our planned schedule. Broken & Filthy Amenities: The electric fireplace in the living room did not work at all. The grill was filthy, and the ignite button was completely broken, forcing us to deal with it despite having a brand-new, full propane tank. Severe Neglect: The exterior grass and landscaping were severely overgrown and totally unmaintained. Uninhabitable Comfort Levels: There was nowhere comfortable to sit or relax inside. Both the bed and couch were rock-hard. The couch is physically broken,”
