Experience Gulf Coast's guest rating of 4.66 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Wow! Is all I have to say. This place was awesome. Gorgeous views. Very spacious unit. Stayed at two other places this past summer and will never stay anywhere else.”airbnb

“We were very disappointed with our stay and would not book this property again. The biggest issue was the overwhelming sewage smell in the back part of the property, where our room was located. The odor was constant and so strong that we couldn't even enjoy the table and chairs outside our room. The cleanliness of the room was also an issue. The bathroom had areas that were not very clean, the bath rug had visible stains, and the shower head was covered in buildup to the point that I ended up cleaning it myself before using it. The bedspread also didn't smell clean, so we removed it and slept using only the sheet. We only stayed because it was Fourth of July weekend and there were no comparable accommodations available on such short notice. My boyfriend is much less particular about cleanliness than I am, yet even he commented on how dirty everything looked and how unpleasant the odor was. For the price we paid, we expected a much cleaner and more comfortable experience.”airbnb

“Pride of ownership does not exist. The host’s representative said after initial complaint that the property “…needs a really, really good deep cleaning”. The oven didn’t heat properly & needs cleaning/Tiled floors require cleaning/Tiles broken & missing from pool’s interior/Pool has mold, something black in it/Filthy pool deck needs power washing, covered with sand, caked on dirt, mold/Safety hazards included multiple electrical wall plates missing (one had wires sticking from it). Loose pickets on top deck caused gap that child could fit through, fall thirty feet/Chairs old, loose & wobbly (one chair collapsed while guest was sitting in it. Dining table wobbly/Top floor shower drain leaked onto bed & sleeping grandson below (fixed promptly)/Some tiled steps broken & loose/Black mold on shower door/Peeled paint throughout/Kitchen lacked full array of utensils, etc/One upholstered chair covered with stains. Pics on Airbnb appear enhanced. Worst beach rental in 60 years!”airbnb

“The home is decorated very nicely, however, our equilibrium was off, the house must have settling issues. Not very well insulated so the noise was bothersome. It feels like for the price we did not get but 3 full days. It would have been nicer to have an earlier check in time, since we left very early the last day to catch our flight back home. The description was very adamant about not being able to check in earlier, so we went with it. Some basic items like can opener, (which was provided right away), trash bags, and kitchen cloths were not available. The dishwasher leaked the first night we ran it and after 1 1/2 days the cooling unit on the first level leaked. The hide a bed did not have a sheet, and we did not find any in the closets. There are not very many homes to choose from in the area that can accommodate a large group like ours, so for what we got it was acceptable.”airbnb

“Overall a good stay. The place as a whole could use some maintenance, the parking is terrible and the instructions aren't very clear. I can't say we would stay here again but we did have a great view”airbnb

“I stayed at this place in Florida, and unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. The host I communicated with via messages wasn’t consistently active or available. I also felt the place lacked enough space, and it wasn’t as clean as I expected. There was a lot of pet hair in the living room, and there were multiple stains, both in the bathroom and on the carpets. Overall, it just didn’t match the photos or the value I expected. also there was no towels for the amount of people i booked the place for. they end up getting me towels from Dollar General after a lot of messages!!”airbnb

“On arrival we discovered the cleaning crew still working and when we contacted the host they told us that we were an hour early. We were not early. It was past time as the door code started working exactly on time. The host lives on central time but the property is eastern time. They apologized. Also the cleaning crew managed to mess up the elevator an it couldn’t be fixed until the next day after we carried everything to the third floor where the kitchen and the master bedroom are located. I would never have rented this place without an elevator with that configuration. The pool and bathrooms were filthy and not well maintained. It’s a nice house, nice location but poorly managed. We checked in almost two hours late but were warned multiple times about penalties for checking out late. And on check out they had no issues remembering that the property is in the EST time zone. Just not a great experience and for the rental rate we paid I will find other options on my next visit.”airbnb
