Expedition Sunset's guest rating of 4.76 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“The location was nice for the price, and having affordable parking in the same building was a big plus. The apartment is also a good size if you’re traveling alone. Overall, for the price and location, I do think it was worth it. That said, I would not describe it as luxury. The apartment needs a refresh and much more attention to cleanliness and maintenance. The appliances are older, the dishwasher smelled and had dirty dishes inside, and I found a hair in the fridge. Some drawers and cabinets were loose or falling apart. Cleanliness was the biggest issue. Some towels were dirty, the sheets had spots, the shower was very dirty, and the sofa and pillows were stained. The walls also had visible marks. For the price and location, it worked, but if you want something newer, cleaner, upscale, or truly luxurious, this is probably not the place.”airbnb

“The place was nice everything was well kept. Except we had no internet service or tv’s for 2 days. Due to I had just had surgery it was a really big issue. It says no smoking but it was all type of marijuana residue left behind, also mentioned that to the cleaner as he fixed the internet. But outside of that communication was great home was comfortable. And the cleaner was also very helpful when he did arrive and made sure we didn’t need anything else or extra.”airbnb

“Nice place but a little smaller then expected. Very close to restaurants, city, campus”airbnb

“While the unit itself was mostly accurately described (there was no closet in the second bedroom which made close storage very inconvenient and they were a flies in the bathroom and kitchen windows), the issue we experienced was with undisclosed construction that happened during our stay, which started early on 2 out of 3 mornings of our stay. It also led to some concerning safety issues in the way of cracks that formed in the ceiling with the roof work being done. We communicated this to the host as soon as it was known to us but there was no intervention done during our stay and, when we asked for a reimbursement given the issues experience, the host only offered a 10% refund. We did eventually have to get Airbnb involved and they were able to reimburse a third of our cost. This may not be an issue in future bookings, but our problem was with the lack of honest communication about construction work that clearly had started before our booking.”airbnb

“Loved the location, so close to restaurants, airport, beach. Checkin was very easy and they even had a little welcome basket with goodies on the counter! The beds and couch were super comfortable and clean. However, the dining room table had 2 broken chairs (which upon notification, the admin team immediately sent maintenance over and ultimately requested that we don’t use them for safety reasons). Neither bedroom has a dresser but had two small night stands and good size walk-in closets with a luggage racks. Checkout was super easy and it only took 15 minutes to drive to the airport! Overall, it was a good rental for the price but, I’d probably choose something a little less sparse next time, especially if I were staying longer than a couple of days and wanted to unpack my luggage.”airbnb

“Had a lovely time. Pretty small kitchen and bathroom but the rooms, dinning area, and living area are very spacious! Very comfortable couch and great wallpaper and design. Unfortunately there was a lot of construction so the gym was closed and pool was mostly unaccessible for the time that we were there. The location is very good right across the street from Publix and pretty close to everything in Tampa. I did want to mention though that there are a lot of possible fees attached to the reservation. Early Check in fee, late checkout fee, lock deactivation fee, smoking fee, parking pass fee, lost parking pass fee and more. The only fees that we encountered while at the stay was paying the $15 a night for parking but being confronted with fee after fee before you even check in is a little off putting. But overall we had a great time on our girls trip”airbnb
