“Excellent, it was everything we wanted. The trail directly to the lake was so nice to have.”

“The house was beautiful and spacious. We loved the area being a few minutes from center hill lake. My only complaint was the place wasn’t super clean. The fridge was left dirty, the main level bathroom looked as if the shower liner hadn’t been changed or cleaned in a while. Overall had a good stay and would stay again.”

“Get your cardio in if you want to walk up and down to the lake. Also have to navigate a bluff to get to the water.”

“Overall it was a nice stay. Off the beaten path, remote. All the appliances worked great. The rental had everything we needed. Exceptional WIFI, especially considering the remoteness of the cabin. The rental was very clean inside. The only issue I had was the outside light that I couldn’t turn off, that attracted moths the size of bats. Biggest moths I’ve ever seen. And I spotted a mouse, but not surprising given the remoteness of the cabin. Other than that it was a good rental for the price.”

“Check in instructions had wrong code, was pouring rain couldn’t get in, finally got ahold of holly with the right code then asked what the code was through the app… no response. Plus they have a huge pest problem there was a SCORPION in the downstairs. No ventilation on the deck to use the grill. Definitely a hazard”

“The property itself is nice, well-decorated, and the surrounding scenery is beautiful. Unfortunately, our experience with the host took away from the stay. When we arrived, the door code in the check-in instructions didn’t work. After about an hour of trying to reach the host, we were told we had been given the wrong code. While it wasn’t our mistake, the response felt more irritated than apologetic. We also found that the main TV had no sound. We messaged the host and, after waiting three hours with no response, followed up. By then it was 9 p.m., and the only solution offered was to send a maintenance person. The downstairs bunk room also gets very hot because the vent doesn’t seem to work, even after we tried adjusting it. Overall, the property has a lot of potential, but the lack of communication and responsiveness from the host made this feel more like a 3-star stay than the 4-star experience it could have been.”

“Amazing view of Center Hill Lake. Close to Cookeville Boatdock. Home has plenty of room for entertaining. I was a little disappointed some of the items mentioned not working last year are still not available.”

“First, our group all enjoyed our stay. There were a few issues that could have made our stay better. The house lacks modern televisions and when you have a group of 12 people - a movie night all gathered in the large and comfortable living room would have been great after dinner. That said, we ended up playing charades which was nice also. The house also lacked a dignified amount of toilet paper upon arrival. I am sorry, but I have NEVER experienced this in any airbnb I've ever encountered. Two of the upstairs bathrooms just had the roll on the dispenser and one was half used, and not even one additional roll per bathroom. This is so short sighted on the part of the management and quite ridiculous. There are not enough wine glasses, so if you enjoy drinking out of an actual wine glass, you will need to bring more, and also could not find any oven mits. Overall, a great place for large groups, but it could use a refresh to address some lacking amenities to make it truly spectacular.”

“This is a newer property that is well stocked and as described on the lake (very limited access to lake). Clear communication for check in was a challenge, but otherwise everything was close to described. Be aware the second bathroom is outside under the house with the hot tub. Also, be prepared for farm animals roaming around including chickens and a donkey that tended to make noise early. For the time we booked, it was expensive, but we needed the specific location for a wedding. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked in the unit.”
