“Great Lake front home. Clean and quaint. Beautiful sunrises. Plenty of seating. Loved the kayak and canoe availability. Quiet and peaceful. The only downfall was the Parking. Directly on a busy road with not much space to maneuver. We did have a wonderful stay!”

“Cute little house, just what we were needing for a far getaway to experience Chautauqua.”

“The house is lovely and the dock made a perfect place to watch the Perseid meteor showers. Close to a main road, but the lake-facing front of the house was not that noisy and, at least mid-week, the lake itself is comparatively quite. The location makes Chautauqua easily accessible, and there are very good restaurants both on campus and off. We did a bit of kayaking, but no swimming - the lake is fairly full of Elodea and the duck population makes one a bit gun-shy of duck-itch. That said, the eagles and ospreys kept us entertained. The open-air (but with a roof) front patio/porch was great for conversations or reading. I was disappointed not to find a coffee maker (there is a Keurig; bring your own pods) so I purchased a Bodum and donated it to the cottage.”

“The cottage was clean and charming, right down to the squeaky screen door and the slightly scuffed floors. And the location in the no wake zone was nice and quiet. But the water was terrible. It smelled so bad we didn’t even want to brush our teeth with it. The portable AC units were pretty loud, but cooled the downstairs well. The one upstairs had issues cooling the entire top floor”

“This cottage was directly on the waterfront of Lake Chautauqua. Beautiful view and was able to do some fishing right out the door! Very interesting history of this cottage as it was built probably in the early 1900s and completely renovated.(there was a pic in the kitchen that showed the original family) bedrooms upstairs, bathroom downstairs.All said, well stocked, clean and great location.”

“The house was right on the lake and very peaceful. We loved our time there although it was short.”

“It’s a lovely lake setting but I wouldn’t stay again. The neighbors were very kind. The home layout is nice, and near many area attraction. The parking hardly leaves room from the busy road to walk behind your vehicle. Use extra caution, especially with children. For the price, check-in is too late, and check-out is too early. Too much tiny (almost hidden) Jesus imagery. Strange. My friends and I had allergic reactions (sneezing, itchy eyes) while there. After going out for a day and having a reaction upon returning, we confirmed with each other it was definitely the space… general mustiness? I didn’t receive the code 24hrs in advance as promised. I got it the morning of our arrival, which was ok. Near the end of our stay, they reached out asking if we needed anything, and I replied with a request for more hand soap (we were low and had two kids with us), and I didn’t get a personal reply. The next automated message came through inviting us to stay with them again in the future.”

“Came for a family visit. Loved sitting by the water,kayaking, and playing games at night.The giant uno cards were a hit! Pleasantly surprised by well appointed kitchen, was looking forward to using the fireplace, but Canada beat us to it,lol!!”
