“It's a beautiful location. Right on the water and near many restaurants. It's older, so there are a few things that could be fixed. We did have maintenance walk right into the place without prior notice ( replace fire alarm batteries). It's for sale, so maybe that's why things are being left alone.”

“What was supposed to be a relaxing long weekend turned into a stressful experience filled with constant back and forth communication with the hosting company. The first thing we noticed upon entering the unit was that it had a musty smell and had not been well maintained or updated. This is what many would call the landlord special. The wifi was nonexistent, dryer stopped working, and the refrigerator was not functioning properly. To make matters worse, the back door would not latch or lock as this was our biggest concern since traveling with two little ones. The host said no locksmith is available so I had to tie it shut with a string attached to the bed frame to prevent it from swinging open. Overall, this stay was disappointing and far from what we expected.”

“The house was pretty good, but being hosted by Emerald Coast Vacation Rentals was a disappointing experience. Their cost-saving policy made our stay truly irritating. They provided absolutely nothing for our convenience and comfort. Nothing in the kitchen, not even salt. No trash bag. They generously provided ONE dish washer tablet. At over 1000 USD a night, seriously, you can't afford providing enough for our stay ? A ridiculously small bottle of dishwashing liquid - never seen the like, they must have them custom-made. As a result, we had to keep running to the store. Not to mention the absence of beach towels (in a beach house with a pool...). Our interactions with the agency showed a total lack of interest for our well-being. All in all, nothing serious but a frustrating accumulation of petty behavior. It would have been so easy to make our stay better. I will not book again with this agency.”

“Location is what makes this apartment worth staying at. You have easy parking and private beach access from your back porch! Walking distance to restaurants, stores etc. My main issue leading to only 3 stars was with the cleanliness and general upkeep of the apartment. The company really needs to do some quality renovations…this is not what I expect for a $300+ per night airbnb. My husband called it the “landlords special”—stained and musty couch (we ended up buying a fitted sheet to cover it with), repairs done sloppily like the strike plate on entry door lock held in place with several washers, rusting on the lamps/vents/fixtures. The appliances were new and functioned well. I understand a beach house will be humid but they have to figure out a better air filtration system. I don’t have bad asthma or allergies but the moldy/musty smell had me wheezing and coughing so bad the first night—we had to purchase air fresheners and moisture absorbers to make it liveable.”

“Not happy with stay. Starting with booking for 3 nights and you only getting 2 1/2 . They tell you when you can check in. Which they say can be between 4pm or 6 pm. That's basically the whole day. Then they text you constantly how you need to be out be 10:00 am. Pic of inside are not the best. Not a big area to eat if you have a big group. House looks nice on outside but much smaller. Kitchen needs to be remolded. Needs update on dishes alot of old appliances. some did not work. Kitchen does not have much dishes. Most were broken and not even the same cups or glasses. Random dishes. Needs better instructions on were items are located. cleaning was not the best. And the random text that you get repeatedly about trash is annoying. Not happy with my stay. I thought the way this house looked on photos it would look good but out of all the ones I have stayed in this was the least one I have enjoyed. Big difference when you are dealing with a owner than a corporate”

“THIS PLACE HAS ROACHES. Our family of 6 had to sleep thru the disgusting feeling knowing that roaches are walking free in this Airbnb. All of us had to put our stuff on chairs. The roaches were clearly alive and running as you opened kitchen cabinets doors, drawers. Found several in 2 separate bathrooms and many more on hallway. It was so freaking disgusting I even had to purchased pest control spray at Home Depot. You coming for a vacation to experience this? Unbelievable. This is sad because I have stayed in Harbor Landing for many years and we absolutely love these towers. One thing is for sure, this is the first and last time renting with Emerald Coast Resort. They have no consideration of any kind. You can send daily messages with images, and in the end they just reimburse you a crappy amount as if that’s enough to cover the inconvenience to spend 3 days with roaches. I did ask to be moved to another place but they had none. I don’t recommend this Airbnb at all. Go elsewhere”

“Great location and convenient to everything we needed. Unfortunately, the host was not very accommodating during our stay. We arrived a little early and were not even allowed to park while waiting for check-in, which made things unnecessarily stressful. The bathrooms also were not very clean upon arrival. Overall, the location was a big plus, but better hospitality and cleanliness would have improved the experience significantly.”

“Wood rotting on deck, looks like they just repainted over everything, beds uncomfortable, couch uncomfortable, needs work, location was great! Showers don’t drain off to good, has good water pressure tho! Just trying to give an honest review! Weather wasn’t the best so we had to spend some unwanted time indoors!”

“Terrible experience overall. Communication was poor from the start, and we felt uncomfortable due to monitoring cameras and a complete lack of privacy. (We even have a text message from saying they saw us on the cameras). While we were still staying at the house, people were sent over to walk through the property without proper notice. The cleanliness was also disappointing — the pool and outdoor bar area were dirty, and there was hair in the shower drain. We were even accused of a noise complaint when it was just children swimming in the pool during reasonable hours. Basic supplies were barely provided — only one roll of paper towels and toilet paper, plus very cheap trash bags — so we had to go out and buy essentials ourselves. The house itself was nice and spacious, but the experience with the rental company completely overshadowed that. I would not recommend renting through them.”

“The house was okay but the management team at Emerald Coast Vacation Rentals did an extremely poor job. We had cold water for showers 4 out of the 5 days we stayed in this house. I sent a message for the work order on Tuesday and they sent a plumber 3 days later on Friday to fix it. The team at Emerald Coast Vacation Rentals, specifically the lady I spoke to was dismissive and condescending. They tried to refund me $300 for a vacation home that cost $3000 which was insulting. I told them to keep it and that I won’t rent from them again. If I was the owner of this home, I would dump the management team at Emerald Coast Vacation Rentals. And as a note to Emerald Coast Vacation Rentals, I wouldn’t let the lady I spoke to handle any further customer service related issues. She’s not equipped for this, as she was extremely insulting, dismissive and condescending.”
