Elliott Realty's guest rating of 4.41 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“The pictures of the home on the website are lovely but this house needs better upkeep in my opinion. Outdoor shower and fish station had no water (no one informed us of this). Pool was dirty on our arrival but pool vendor only cleans 1 time per week (which was Wednesday, 4 days into our stay - other Elliott properties have pool cleaning 2 times per week). Hot tub/spa continually malfunctioned and PVC pipe explosion scared all guests along our street (pool vendor did fix promptly). Outdoor deck furniture held together with "zip ties" - don't sit on the cushions as you will fall right through. Black mold in the upstairs bath shower. Bedspread not proper size for the king bed. No lighting in the elevator which one elderly guest truly needed to use. Ants in the kitchen, Elliott said exterminator would come out but they never did. We bought ant bait traps ourselves. Called Elliott to discuss all with a manager, as Sheila advised me, left on hold 20 minutes, no one ever picked up.”airbnb

“3 and a half stars. The host sent us a bunch of what seemed like copy and paste instructions about checking in that were all extremely conflicting about what the air bnb provides for its guests, and we were not told what was readily available for us until AFTER we paid thousands of dollars, no towels, no toiletries, no shampoos, no soaps, detergents, cookware is minimal. The fridge hardly makes any ice, so don’t expect cold water, Only after we complained did the host throw us pre packaged towels in last minute. Nothing went the extra mile, and we arrived to a bed with broken springs, a half working dishwasher and blankets that smelled dirty and moldy! Otherwise the kids loved the saltwater pool, very family friendly, the walking distance to the beach and being close to a lot of things in North Myrtle.”airbnb

“This home was absolutely dirty! It was obvious that no one had cleaned it before us checking in. The patio was so dirty and ppl started writing their names on the ledges. That’s how disgusting it was. Pet hair all over couches and pillows. In the kitchen the glasses and plates were dirty, used the stove and it wouldn’t even turn off, and the knob was broken. We had to take the knob off and use another one to get the burner turned off! The floors were dirty, I didn’t even want to walk barefoot inside. The barn door to the downstairs bathroom came off and almost fell on my 90 year old grandmother! Forget playing cornhole because the bags were useless. Couple broken chairs in the back. The propane for the grill was not working. Very disappointing!! We took this vacation and got married and was wanting a beautiful, CLEAN place to stay and THIS is what we got. And not cheap either!!”airbnb

“When we first checked in, we immediately noticed several cleanliness issues throughout the home. There was thick dust on the ceiling fans, and I actually took the time to clean one of the bedroom fans myself because of my son’s allergies. We also noticed stains on the bedding, which made us question whether the bedding had been properly cleaned before our arrival. The pool had a noticeable amount of sand at the bottom, and there were cigarette butts in a bin near the pool that was sitting on top of the trash can and was never emptied during our stay. I notified Elliott Realty right away about the cleanliness concerns. I was told that they would make note of the issues and that I could contact management on Friday. We had checked in on Saturday, meaning we would have already been there almost an entire week before I could speak with someone. Unfortunately, the issues weren't limited to what we initially noticed. The drawers in the bedrooms had hair, dust, and dander inside of them.”airbnb

“The place was nice. It was inviting and did have that home feel. There was a lot of things in the unit. The unit was not very clean. Dirt and spills on the floor at arrival, hair and toe nails on carpets and in bathrooms. Trash cans extremely dirty in the unit. We arrived to loose toilet seats, dishes out, dirt piles, and mold in the tub. The area is under construction everywhere. The max guest rule did not seem to be applicable with families of 18 plus arriving. Pool was open but with caution tape on the deck area. Our deck at the house was wobbly as well. The pool and hot tub are way too small for that many units to use. Kids toys/barbies and things overtook the pool on multiple days, floating in the hot tub just left there and kids without diapers (that needed them) in pool and hot tub. The lounge chairs were locked up in the caution do not enter part. The property did have trash on the grounds as did the areas we visited. The beach was directly across from us.”airbnb

“We had a good time. Loved the upstairs wrap around porch. Cleaning service did not unfortunately do a very good job.”airbnb

“First off, beautiful home! Had everything me and my family wanted in a vacation home for the week. Super easy walk to beach and NO big hotels taking up space on the beach. My kids loved the pool and overall we had a great time. I’m not big on any negative reviews but there were some worth noting during our stay. We arrived and house wasn’t very clean, with exception of the bathrooms. Also, the pool was dirty and skimmer not working. The grill was unusable. We called right away and Elliot got in touch with the owner for the pool. The owner had their pool people out there within the hour! Which we were super grateful for! But Elliot dropped the ball on having the house re-cleaned and grill fixed and cleaned. We were told they would have people there next day but 3 days later and nothing. They gave us refund on cleaning fee and a coupon for next visit. I ended up cleaning the grill and got it functional. Like I said, beautiful home and awesome location! Just a few hiccups.”airbnb

“We’ve stayed with Elliot for the past 10 years and nothing g had changed with the lack of accountability with the cleaning crew. When you pay for a luxury rental but have to spend time cleaning because there is mold in the shower, it’s disappointing. The hot tub doesn’t work; an issue the home owner is aware of after calling twice and talking with the pool company and the pool filter isn’t working right as the chemicals aren’t disbursing and we couldn’t use that a day. Other than that/ we Luke the hang out in the open area and the location.”airbnb

“We were disappointed with this property. Upon arrival, we immediately reported several issues, including a broken window, damaged blinds, a leaking A/C unit in the kitchen, and later multiple pool and hot tub problems. The hot tub jets and heat did not work, the water level kept dropping, and there was an exposed electrical cord in the pool where a light should have been, making nighttime swimming unsafe. Despite reporting these concerns on day one, we received no meaningful follow-up during our stay and were not contacted until checkout, when we were told we could discuss the issues with management. The home felt worn down. A bed frame was broken, lamp was broken, the foosball table was missing a ball, and cleanliness was lacking, especially around furniture, stairs, and between couch cushions. Basic supplies hand soap, toilet paper, and paper towels were not provided. No beach towels, pool towels, or beach chairs. The location was great, but everything else wasn’t.”airbnb

“We stayed as a family of 8 adults and 7 kids under the age of 7. We had 60 degree weather 5/7 days we were there. While the listing says the pool isn’t heated and the spa is on a timer (also not heated) we offered to pay $300 on Tuesday to heat the pool for the rest of the week (3 days) given the temperature and it being too cold for the kids to swim. The owner flat out refused. I wouldn’t call a pool/spa year round if it’s too cold to swim in during spring break. We also notified the management team of uneven and loose tiles around the pool, arcade game not working at all, and the fridge water dispenser not working correctly. Their response was “thanks for letting us know”. No one ever came to address any of these issues during our stay and nothing more was said. The house was also not cleaned well at all. The floors turned the kids feet black. There was mold around ceiling fan, lights, and poles, on main deck. Algae on siding and overall not well maintained or cleaned.”airbnb
