“Great location, staff responsive (they repaired the three broke down AC units promptly)(the staff office is right next-door ), communication poor (no early check-in instructions), unit owned by a billionaire with many units on the island (corporate vibe). Great view of the ocean and Poipu Park (except for the powerlines). Lovely front porch with comfortable furniture.”

“We appreciated the comfort of this rental and the location to the beach walkway was fantastic. The one thing that I feel wasn’t as clear was if the unit had a washer and dryer and I found out that there was not a washer and dryer within the unit, but on the level, we did not have any troubles being able to use the washer and dryer on our level but just be sure to bring quarters. The one thing that we did have an issue with is the exterminator for the building showed up and knocked one time and then they let themselves in when we didn’t answer. It caught us off guard that they let themselves in and they told us that we should have been notified the day before that they were going to be coming. Luckily, my husband and I were in the unit and our teenage girls were not there alone. Aside from that, it was a great property with easy access to the beach and was not crowded.”

“We enjoyed the location, getting to several beach’s , shops, golf and grocery all within 5-10 minute walk or drive. Enough bath towels, cooking needs, parking and spare house keys…. It was an enjoyable stay with 2 adults and two teenagers….”

“This place was exactly as described and very clean! The location was perfect with just a short walk to the beach and large pool. The small pool is right at the bottom of the nearest staircase. Super convenient! The only reason I took away one star is for lack of extra linen for the pull out bed, just a thin sheet/blanket and for lack of extra trash bags or any cleaning supplies. I say this because one of our kids ended up having an accident and we had no way of cleaning it up. Just a small selection of cleaning products and a few extra trash bags would go a long way for convenience! Otherwise, the stay was perfect and we would stay again.”

“The place terrible but for what we paid it was just meh. Lot of little annoying issues. Most outlets didn’t work and half that did spark every time you plug something in. Patio furniture was broken. Sliding bathroom door in the master is old, partially off track, loud, and scratches when opening/closing (no quiet bathroom trips at night). Couldn’t get the patio door to lock at all (just used the stick to keep it closed). No curtains in the living room so full on bright sun from 6am to 8pm. Also blinds in the living room are old and practically impossible to not break when closing so the patio door had basically no covering during our entire stay. Elevator was broken during most of our stay so we got our steps in climbing stairs to the 3rd floor about 5x/day. No laundry in the unit but there’s 1 washer/dryer for the entire 3rd floor that takes quarters. On the bright side the view is very nice. Not terrible but DEFINITELY NOT worth the $3k we spent to stay there for the week.”

“Good place to stay a little walk to the beach which should be mentioned in description but it wasn’t bad. Sofa couch shouldn’t be counted as a bed if it doesn’t pull out to be a bed. I would stay here again.”

“The views are incredible, but the condo itself feels more dated than the photos suggest. The cabinets look like painted plywood. The dishwasher doesn’t fully open because it hits a cabinet pull. And the A/C condenser on the patio makes that space hot and cramped. We didn’t use the patio and just enjoyed the view from inside.”

“Excellent place to stay for beach access and pool. 3rd time I've stayed here. This last unit, affordable, and pull out couch very comfortable. Only complaint is master bed, super soft, sinks in when laying on it, even with the foam pad under sheets. Recommend replacing the mattress, and could increase nightly rate value significantly. No other issues.”

“Our Condo was changed from 620 to 626 without asking due to damage from a storm to 620. Condo size was the same, view was different and the amenities in the condos were different (different size bed, different number of living room seats, appliances, etc). When we asked El Matador for a discount or refund, at first we were told no, then were told to come back on a weekday and speak to the manager, then with no discussion from anyone we were refunded ~10%. Overall, the staff were unhelpful and slightly rude, but the condo location was great.”

“If you stayed here prior, do not expect the same quality or care. This place has gone downhill. They do not care about any issues going on. I was without water for two days. They do not have 24 hour maintenance. When you call Security with an issue, all they say is they’ll call you back and they never did on night before my unit was flooding and I was flooding the units underneath me as well. Once again, nobody cared. They will not refund your money. They will just take it. You will just keep hearing the same story over and over again that they’re trying or that they’ll get somebody out there and you’ll waste 90% of your vacation talking on the phone trying to get issues resolved. Not worth the stress stay somewhere else.”
